On May 2, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, General Secretary To Lam and his wife will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Belarus; pay an official visit to Russia and attend the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War from May 5 to 12.

Relations between Vietnam and Kazakhstan have developed positively. Kazakhstan’s leaders affirmed that they consider Vietnam an important partner in Southeast Asia, promoting cooperation in traditional fields and expanding to other potential fields.

Bilateral trade in 2024 will reach 800 million USD, up 99% year-on-year. Kazakhstan has 6 FDI projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of more than 500,000 USD.

Previously, on April 21, a political consultation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam took place in Azerbaijan. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister E. Mammadov.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed and agreed on the content, plan, and program of high-level delegation exchanges, assessed the results of implementing agreements reached by the two countries' leaders in recent times, and exchanged opinions on the current situation and measures to promote bilateral relations.

At a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on April 2, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son emphasized that Vietnam consistently considers Russia one of the most important, strategic and trustworthy priority partners in Vietnam's foreign policy.

Minister Lavrov affirmed that Vietnam is a priority partner in Russia's foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region.

The two ministers highly appreciated the dynamic development of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all areas. Political relations have been continuously strengthened, trust is high, and economic and trade cooperation has returned to positive growth.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, 68 soldiers from the Army Officer School 1 representing the Vietnam People's Army will participate in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Russia taking place at Red Square, Moscow on May 9.

Belarus considers Vietnam an important and leading partner of Belarus in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. The two sides have exempted visas for ordinary passport holders between the two countries, effective from January 30.
