On May 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, provinces and cities visited and offered incense at Hang Duong Cemetery, Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

At Hang Duong Cemetery, Hang Keo Cemetery, Con Dao Temple, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the Prime Minister, the delegation and leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province observed a minute of silence, offered incense and flowers to express their deep remembrance and gratitude for the great contributions of heroic martyrs, revolutionary soldiers, and patriotic compatriots who fought and sacrificed in the cause of national liberation and reunification.

After offering incense at Hang Duong Cemetery, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and former prisoners in Con Dao district.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation had a working session at Con Dao airport. Here, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and related units reported on the actual operation situation, the planned planning of Con Dao airport for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; and the Co Ong urban area project.

On the same morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and presented gifts to war invalid and former prisoner of Con Dao Nguyen Xuan Vien and the family of Ms. Vo Thi Thanh, a relative of martyr Le Nhien, both in residential area No. 7, Con Dao district.

Moved to visit former Con Dao prisoner Nguyen Xuan Vien and the family of martyr Le Nhien on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Con Dao and also the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his deep gratitude, warm greetings and deep affection, and best wishes to former prisoner Nguyen Xuan Vien and the family of martyr Le Nhien.

Hang Duong Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Con Dao. This is the burial place of tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers and Vietnamese patriots who were imprisoned and exiled for generations, from 1862 to 1975, including the late General Secretary Le Hong Phong and patriot Nguyen An Ninh, and the heroic martyr Vo Thi Sau...
