Hanoi: State budget revenue in the first quarter of 2025 reached 49.5% of the estimate

Total state budget revenue in Hanoi in the first quarter of 2025 reached 250.1 trillion VND, equal to 49.5% of the annual ordinance estimate, up 69.3% over the same period in 2024.

The above information was announced by the Hanoi Statistics Office on April 3. Since the beginning of 2025, the city has focused on directing the synchronous implementation of solutions to increase budget revenue, promote the settlement of completed projects; direct budget expenditures in accordance with regulations, meeting regular expenditure tasks according to the annual budget estimate.

Total state budget revenue in the area in the first quarter of 2025 is 250.1 trillion VND, equal to 49.5% of the annual ordinance estimate and an increase of 69.3% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, domestic revenue was VND241.5 trillion, reaching 51% and increasing by 70.6%; revenue from crude oil was VND0.8 trillion, reaching 18.6% and equal to 67%; revenue from import-export activities was VND7.8 trillion, reaching 28.7% and increasing by 55%.

Some major revenue sectors in domestic revenue in the first quarter of 2025 were from the State-owned enterprise sector, reaching VND 27.2 trillion, equal to 33.7% of the annual estimate and down 4.3% over the same period last year; the foreign-invested enterprise sector reached VND 11.5 trillion, equal to 37.9% and up 21.6%; the non-State enterprise sector collected VND 48.6 trillion, reaching 47.3% and up 50.1%.

Personal income tax collected VND18.7 trillion, reaching 37.4% and increasing by 27.7%; land use fee collected VND49.5 trillion, increasing by 16.4% and 12.4 times higher than the same period; registration fee collected VND1.8 trillion, reaching 24.5% and increasing by 10.6%; fees and charges collected VND5.7 trillion, reaching 24.2% and increasing by 0.9%.

Also in the first quarter, local budget expenditure is estimated at VND 23.1 trillion, reaching 13.9% of the annual estimate and increasing by 16.4% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, development investment expenditure was 7.9 trillion VND, reaching 9.1% and increasing by 1.8%; regular expenditure was 15.2 trillion VND, reaching 21.5% and increasing by 25.9%.

Some major expenditure areas in the regular expenditure of the local budget are: Expenditure on education, training and vocational training is estimated at 6,275 billion VND, reaching 25.3% of the estimate and increasing by 58.7% over the same period last year; expenditure on economic activities is 999 billion VND, reaching 7.6% and equal to 44.5%; expenditure on state administrative management is 2,968 billion VND, reaching 27.5% and increasing by 42.7%; expenditure on social security is 1,105 billion VND, reaching 16.5% and decreasing by 18.3%; expenditure on health, population and family is 1,522 billion VND, reaching 44.6% and increasing by 3.5 times; expenditure on environmental protection is 799 billion VND, reaching 24% and increasing by 0.6%.
