Google admits mistakenly deleting $135 billion pension fund account

According to TechSpot , Google Cloud has just admitted that it 'accidentally' completely deleted the accounts and backup data of UniSuper, a large Australian pension fund, due to a configuration error during the service deployment process. This incident paralyzed UniSuper's operations for 2 weeks, causing serious damage to more than 600,000 users.

According to Google, the cause was that an employee of the company left an important parameter blank when using an internal tool, leading to UniSuper's account being marked for automatic deletion after a period of time.
