The Steering Committee has organized the implementation of the contents of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas; assigned responsibilities to members and specialized civil servants in charge of each program, and supported villages in implementing the contents of the program.

During the implementation process, Chu Huong commune has achieved some results such as: For Project 3: Developing sustainable agricultural and forestry production, promoting the potential and strengths of regions to produce goods according to the value chain, Sub-project 1 on Developing sustainable agricultural and forestry economy associated with forest protection and increasing people's income. In this content, the commune has implemented support for people to protect forests, contract forest protection with an amount of nearly 400 million VND.

For the project of linking production and product consumption according to the value chain, Chu Huong commune implemented 01 project to support the development of linked production according to the value chain associated with the consumption of products of renovated and intensive cultivation of midland tea trees, by Bac Thai Agricultural and Service Cooperative implementing the project to support the development of linked production according to the value chain associated with the consumption of products of renovated and intensive cultivation of midland tea trees. The support budget is more than 1 billion VND with an implementation scale of more than 2 hectares/3 years, with 12 participating households, the support budget is mainly to buy fertilizers, tea processing machinery and equipment, organize technical training for tea growers in Chu Huong commune, Ba Be district, Bac Kan province and costs for marketing and promoting Chu Huong, Bac Kan tea products in the domestic market.

For Project 8 on gender equality and addressing urgent issues for women and children, the number of beneficiaries benefiting from the implementation of 04 project contents with a total budget of more than 100 million VND, for nearly 1,000 participants.

At the meeting, delegates discussed difficulties, problems and shortcomings in the implementation process and proposed feasible plans and solutions for the next phase.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Tran Thi Loc, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, highly appreciated the results that Chu Huong commune has achieved in implementing the contents of the National Target Program. She suggested that in the coming time, Chu Huong commune should pay attention to and study community-linked economic models and value chain linkage models to create jobs and increase income for people. Study relevant guiding documents to effectively implement the content of supporting residential land and housing for people according to the proposed program content. Further strengthen propaganda work to people to understand and actively participate in the contents, thereby promoting the effectiveness of the State's policies through the National Target Program to help people escape poverty and rise up./.
