Dong Nai launches contest to promote gender equality, prevent and respond to gender-based violence in 2025

The purpose of the contest is to disseminate and update information on laws and policies on gender equality; create changes, raise awareness, and form habits for students from when they are still in school about implementing gender equality, narrowing the gender gap, creating conditions and opportunities for girls, women and men to participate and enjoy equality in all areas of social life. At the same time, through the contest, basic knowledge about policies and laws related to gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence is communicated.

Participants are primary, secondary and high school students in Dong Nai province. They will participate in 3 competitions including: presentation and eloquence skills video clip contest with duration of 3-5 minutes, posted on Fanpage and YouTube channel of Dong Nai Provincial Children's House for voting; multiple choice and essay contest with content related to legal knowledge on gender equality, domestic violence prevention and situation handling skills; creative - drawing contest using AI with content on gender equality and prevention and control of gender-based violence, encouraging creativity and conveying clear messages.

The contest is expected to take place from August to September 2025, with the closing ceremony and award ceremony at Dong Nai Provincial Children's House (159, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai Province).

The Organizing Committee of the contest is headed by the leader of the Department of Home Affairs; the Head of the Department of Administrative Reform and Documents and Archives of the Department of Home Affairs and the Director of the Children's House of Dong Nai province are Deputy Heads.
