After more than 35 years of work, now retired under the regime, but Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hoa, residential group 8, Xuan Hoa ward (Phuc Yen) still promotes the pioneering and exemplary qualities of a party member, actively participating in work in residential areas.

Over the past 5 years, as the head of the residential group party cell, Ms. Hoa has regularly closely listened to the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of party members and people to work with the party cell to develop appropriate leadership and direction resolutions that are close to the actual situation.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; promote the spirit of solidarity, actively participate in the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life" in residential areas and patriotic emulation movements.

Implementing the movement to build “Bright - green - clean - beautiful” roads, Ms. Hoa and the Party Committee discussed and issued a specialized resolution. At the same time, they promoted propaganda and mobilized people to participate in environmental sanitation and beautify the roads.

Promoting the sense of responsibility and exemplary role of a party member, Ms. Hoa pioneered in contributing tens of millions of dong to paint murals, plant flowers and trees, and pour concrete to widen alley roads.

From her example, party members and people in the residential group have clearly recognized their responsibilities, voluntarily contributing money and labor days to improve the roads in the area.

Up to now, residential group 8 has mobilized people to contribute more than 160 million VND and hundreds of working days to build 3 welcome gates; plant flowers and trees, paint murals, and hang flags along the roads.

Ms. Hoa said: "As long as I am healthy, I will continue to contribute. Over the past 5 years, I feel very happy to have contributed a part of my efforts to help the people build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized."

Although he is over 75 years old, Mr. Pho Khac Dat, Minh Tan village, Yen Thach commune (Song Lo) is still clear-headed and active. In addition to actively exercising, Mr. Dat also regularly watches TV and reads newspapers to keep up with current events in the country and the world. Therefore, the information he shares with party members during party cell meetings is always practical, close, and lively.

During his decades of work and until his retirement, Mr. Dat has always been an exemplary person in mobilizing his family and people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies, and is a shining example of good moral qualities and a harmonious and simple lifestyle. In November 2024, Mr. Dat was honored to receive the 55-year Party membership badge.

He shared: “Since standing under the red flag with yellow star and reading the oath at the Party admission ceremony, I have always reminded myself to keep my oath, be loyal to the Party and the people; promote the sense of responsibility and honor of a Party member and actively participate in labor, dedicating myself to the people, the country and the Party.”

With the spirit of retirement without quitting work, currently, Mr. Pho Khac Dat is still working at the Association of Former Teachers of Song Lo district and is Vice President of the Association of Former Teachers of Yen Thach commune, actively gathering, uniting, promoting the qualities and intelligence of retired teachers to contribute to the cause of education in the locality.

Currently, the province has thousands of elderly party members. Despite their limited health, they still play a pioneering role for the community, setting a good example in economic development, building new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.

Many party members, after completing their work and retiring, still actively participate in building the Party and government, and are the core of emulation movements and activities in the locality. Some retired cadres and party members are elected by party members and people to be secretaries, deputy secretaries of party cells, village heads, heads of residential groups or heads of branches and organizations, etc., becoming active members in their places of residence.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Hoa Ward (Phuc Yen) Pham Thi Kim Lien said: Currently, the Party Committee of the ward has nearly 790 party members, of which more than 60% are senior party members. With their experience and pioneering and exemplary spirit, the senior party members of the ward have contributed many dedicated ideas to the locality.

The focus is on solutions to improve the quality of Party cell activities; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members; develop infrastructure, solutions for socio-economic development, and ensure social order and safety. Many elderly Party members are truly shining examples for younger generations of Party members to follow.
