Implementing the criteria of economic development and income improvement, the Farmers' Association at all levels in the district has promoted propaganda and mobilized members to promote the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; actively participate in the program "One commune, one product"; transform the structure of crops and livestock, create specialized and concentrated production areas, linked fields according to the value chain; develop collective economic models. In 2024, the Association at all levels has propagated and mobilized the establishment of 2 models of good production and business farmers' clubs in Giao Hai and Giao Thien communes with 96 members. The whole district has built 35 linkage models and large fields with a total area of ​​1,493 hectares. Many linkage and cooperation models according to the value chain have been built and replicated. A typical example is the model of growing clean vegetables in greenhouses according to VietGAP standards in Giao Ha commune; Dinh Moc circular agricultural economic cooperative model in Giao Tan commune; VietGAP standard mushroom growing model in Hong Thuan commune; shrimp farming model on floating ponds with roofs in Giao Thien and Giao Phong communes... The Associations at all levels have also guided and directly established new cooperatives, cooperative groups, branches, and professional farmer associations. Up to now, the whole district has 2 cooperatives and 22 cooperative groups. Members of cooperative groups, cooperatives, branches, and professional associations are always close and actively support each other in production, business and services, many models have promoted high economic efficiency. Typical examples are the Sa Chau traditional fish sauce production professional association in Giao Chau commune; the Giao Tan commune agricultural machinery association; the aquaculture cooperative in Giao Thien, Giao An, Giao Hai, Giao Phong, Giao Long, Bach Long communes; Tuan Hiep mushroom production and handicraft cooperative in Hong Thuan commune; the Ao Dai sewing and embroidery association in Giao Thanh commune; the hemp growing association in Binh Hoa commune...

In addition, the Farmers' Association at all levels in the district also promoted propaganda and mobilized members and farmers to continue donating land, supporting money and working days to build infrastructure; participating in building cultural institutions; protecting rural landscapes and environments. In 2024 alone, cadres, members and people contributed over 5.8 billion VND, 5,162 working days, and donated 9,100m2 of land for new rural construction. Most of the Association's branches and sub-associations have specific models and activities to participate in building the new rural areas such as: "Model of collecting, classifying and processing organic waste into fertilizer at households", "Model of investing in tanks to store pesticide packaging in the fields", "Receiving self-managed roads, ensuring environmental sanitation with signs", "Planting flowers, trees, shade trees", "Farmer's tree rows", "Establishing waste collection teams, mobilizing members to contribute money to build waste treatment areas", "Connecting to clean water sources", "Organizing family grounds, building lighting systems for residential areas, ensuring light - green - clean - beautiful", "Buying health insurance, voluntary social insurance"... Officials and farmer members also actively responded to the program "Planting 1 billion trees - for a green Vietnam" launched by the Prime Minister. Responding to "Vietnam Sea and Islands Week and World Oceans Day 2024", "Green Sunday", the Association at all levels launched movements and campaigns to clean up the environment, clear bushes, clear streams, dredge canals, plant and care for trees, etc. Typically, the Associations of Giao Hai, Giao Ha, Giao Phong, and Giao An communes have attracted a large number of cadres and members to participate, ensuring the environment is always clean and beautiful.

In many localities in the district, the Farmers' Association of communes and towns has had many good and creative ways to participate in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. Typically, the Farmers' Association of Giao Phong commune has mobilized cadres, members and people to proactively renovate their houses, contribute money and working days to build welfare works, build roads in the hamlet, donate over 2,500m2 of land to expand roads, build irrigation works in the fields, repair the hamlet cultural house; participate in implementing the criteria on economic development and income. The Commune Farmers' Association also regularly propagates and mobilizes cadres, members and people to actively participate in preserving and protecting the environment, thoroughly classifying waste at the source, collecting waste and bringing it to designated locations and treating waste and waste in residential areas, not polluting the environment in the area. Cadres and members of the Farmers' Association have collected over 2 tons of pesticide packaging, placed 81 tanks in the fields; Planted over 10km of tree and flower roads, received planting and care for 2 rows of farmer trees. The commune's Farmers' Association directed the branches to install a total of 1,919 bins and covered pits to treat organic waste with microorganisms to use as fertilizer for plants. The commune's Farmers' Association also focused on propagating and mobilizing cadres and farmer members to participate in voluntary health insurance, reaching over 98.7%; using a centralized clean water supply system to protect health, prevent diseases for themselves and their families; actively participating in ensuring national defense, security, educating children in the family, not committing crimes, not suffering from accidents, social evils; participating in building a model of the "self-management, self-prevention, self-protection" movement in each family and residential area. Thanks to that, in 2022, Giao Phong is the first commune in the province to be recognized as a model NTM commune.

The practical activities of cadres and farmers' union members in Giao Thuy district have contributed to building a new rural area that is increasingly "Bright - green - clean - beautiful". The national target program on building new rural areas has achieved many positive results. Up to now, the whole district has 16/18 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; 13/18 communes have been recognized as model new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period, 144/164 hamlets and residential groups have met model new rural standards. Giao Thuy district is one of the first 10 districts in the country and the first district in the province to be recognized by the Prime Minister as a district meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023. Farmers' lives have improved; poverty reduction and social security policies and programs in the district have been implemented promptly and effectively, the rate of poor households has decreased; The level of production organization of farmers, especially the production linkage in the value chain between enterprises, cooperatives and farmers, has gradually changed and developed.
