Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, Political Commissar of Military Region 5, delivered a speech directing the opening of the contest.

During 3 days (from May 29 to 31), 118 candidates from agencies, units and localities of Military Region 5 will compete in the contests of awareness, drafting resolutions and practicing running party committee conferences, party cell conferences to issue thematic resolutions and resolutions on leading tasks for June.

Candidates take multiple choice and essay tests on cognition.

The contest aims to assess the actual qualifications, capacity, methods and working style of the comrades who are the secretaries of the grassroots Party Committees and secretaries of the military cells of communes, wards and towns, from which the Party Committees at all levels can plan to use and arrange them, while continuing to train and improve the knowledge and practical capacity of the team of Party Committee Secretaries; contributing to building strong Party organizations in the Military Region 5; improving the effectiveness of advising local Party Committees and authorities at the grassroots level in implementing local defense and military tasks.

In order for the contest to be successful and achieve its goals and requirements, Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 5, requested the Organizing Committee to proactively run the contest scientifically and effectively according to the determined content and program; maintain strict implementation of rules and regulations; and closely manage contestants.

As planned, on the afternoon of May 31, the Organizing Committee will close, comment, and award prizes to contestants with excellent achievements in participating in the contest.
