In 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the resolutions and directives of the Party at all levels. Proactively advised and proposed to the Party Committee, the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on managing and protecting sovereignty and border security and building a strong provincial Border Guard in all aspects.

At the same time, lead and direct the strict maintenance of combat readiness; improve the quality and effectiveness of border defense tasks. Border defense diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy are actively and effectively implemented.

The provincial Border Guard has launched a high-point campaign to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. Coordination programs and models to help people develop their socio-economic life have been innovative and creative. Disaster prevention, search and rescue work has been well implemented.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Dung highly appreciated the review report which comprehensively assessed the advantages, disadvantages and causes of limitations in the leadership of border defense tasks, force building and Party building in 2024. The Provincial Border Guard has done a good job of grasping and forecasting the situation, promptly advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on policies and measures to flexibly handle issues related to sovereignty, border security and sea areas.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung emphasized that in the coming time, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee will continue to effectively lead the implementation of directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Border Guard Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee on ideological work in the new situation; attach importance to educating revolutionary moral qualities, preserving the ethics and lifestyle of cadres and Party members; proactively fight to defeat all "peaceful evolution" activities, and protect the Party's ideological foundation.

Proactively grasp the situation on the border and islands; strengthen patrols and strictly control border lines and landmarks on land and sea borders; fight against smuggling and trade fraud.

Coordinate with all levels, sectors and armed forces in the province to build safe areas, create conditions for local economic - cultural - social development; promote the effectiveness of border guard station officers participating in district-level Party committees, commune-level officials, and party members participating in Party cell activities in border and island villages and hamlets.
