In order to prepare well for the 2025-2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) requested the People's Committees of communes, wards and affiliated schools to urgently review and assess the current status of facilities, especially degraded items such as classrooms, gates - fences, and schoolyards for timely repair, creating aesthetics and favorable learning conditions.
At the same time, units need to check and classify teaching equipment; evaluate quality, determine the quantity that needs to be repaired, replaced, or supplemented according to the minimum list of the Ministry of Education and Training and make a detailed list to serve the purchase according to regulations.
Ensure all conditions for the new school year
Mr. Ta Thanh Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: “Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on concentrating resources, organizing urgent and drastic implementation, ensuring all necessary conditions for the opening of the new school year 2025-2026. The Department of Education and Training has issued a document requesting the People's Committees of communes, wards, units, and affiliated schools to review and re-evaluate the conditions of facilities. Regarding the implementation budget, localities prioritize maximum resources according to the budget allocation to invest in and repair facilities, purchase equipment and teaching aids, ensuring timely service for the opening of the new school year 2025-2026. In case the locality is too difficult to balance the budget for implementation, the Department of Education and Training will synthesize and coordinate with the Department of Finance to advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and decide".
Units and schools that have been allocated funds for renovating and repairing classrooms in 2025 (phase 1: 16.2 billion VND; phase 2: 11.6 billion VND) need to urgently implement the correct procedures, organize construction, supervise to ensure quality, progress and complete before the 2025-2026 school year. The remaining units continue to review and supplement facilities, minimum teaching equipment, environmental sanitation, to meet the requirements for the opening of the new school year, in accordance with practice and regulations.
Currently, the facilities and teaching staff of An Xuyen 1 Secondary School are basically ready to meet the teaching and learning requirements of the new school year 2025-2026.
According to records at An Xuyen 1 Secondary School (An Xuyen Ward), in preparation for the new school year, the school has carefully prepared facilities, desks and chairs in the classrooms. In addition, the school also checked all electrical systems, lights, fans, water systems, toilets, glass door systems, fences, gates, and cleaned the school yard.
Mr. Tran Thai Duong, Vice Principal of the school, said: “The unit has a total of 31 staff and teachers, this school year there are 540 students, with 15 classes. To create favorable conditions for students to enter the new school year, the school has repaired tables and chairs, cleaned and decorated the campus, creating a cool, clean and beautiful pedagogical landscape to welcome students to the new school year.”
“The school’s management staff and teachers have fully participated in professional training and development courses according to the programs implemented by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training. Currently, the school’s facilities and teaching staff are basically ready to meet the teaching and learning requirements of the new school year 2025-2026,” Mr. Duong shared.

After the merger of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces, the Department of Education and Training has directed the restructuring of the organizational structure, reviewed the teaching staff at all levels, and developed a plan to recruit civil servants for public education units. At the same time, it advised the provincial People's Committee to direct the arrangement and assignment of teachers according to the assigned payroll, overcoming the local surplus and shortage, ensuring the principle of "where there are students, there must be teachers in the classroom", suitable for practice and effectiveness, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Mr. Ta Thanh Vu added: “In the immediate future, in 2025, the Department of Education and Training will organize training to improve the standard training level for 124 general education teachers (71 primary school teachers, 53 secondary school teachers); regular training for 450 school management staff, 3,095 teachers; training for integrated subject teachers for 220 teachers (including 100 primary school teachers teaching Information Technology and Technology; 120 secondary school teachers teaching Natural Sciences)”.
In addition to preparing facilities and schools, the Education sector has implemented many solutions to improve the quality of staff and teachers, meeting the requirements of "human development" in the locality. In the 2025-2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training will continue to improve the training standards for preschool, primary and secondary school teachers; implement regular training, improve management and teaching capacity, meet the standards of principals, teacher professional standards and requirements of the 2018 General Education Program . At the same time, training will be carried out in line with the needs to ensure the structure, quantity and quality of teachers, advise on the development of a project to develop a team of teachers and managers of preschool and general education institutions for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045, according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
