On the afternoon of April 21, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project.

The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project is divided into 5 component projects. Of which, Dak Nong is in charge of 2 component projects: Component Project 2 and Component Project 4. It is expected that Dak Nong will start construction on Component Project 2.

Component project 2 is being appraised by the Department of Construction and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. The Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has submitted the design documents to the Department of Construction for appraisal.

The Department of Construction has coordinated with the investor to report to the Ministry of Construction to agree to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Component Project 2 in April 2025.

At the meeting, some difficulties in the implementation process were raised by the relevant parties such as: the consulting team has not yet determined the scope of site clearance; the consulting unit is still confused about the intersection of the project and the residential road; the separation between Component Project 1 and Component Project 2 is still inadequate, leading to many problems in the bidding documents.

Regarding these difficulties, Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board Ha Sy Son affirmed: "The unit is coordinating with consultants to complete the documents. With the above difficulties, the unit will coordinate to handle them very gently, it is not a big problem."

On the local side, Chairman of Dak R'lap District People's Committee Nguyen Quang Tu said: "The district has proactively prepared the site to serve the project's commencement. We have mobilized 3 households to agree to cut down trees and prepare the site to hand over to the investor to serve the commencement location."

At the meeting, the Steering Committee focused on discussing and finding solutions to some difficulties related to Component Project 4.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi informed that the province decided to start the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project 1 day earlier than expected (April 29, 2025), meaning that the province will officially start construction on April 28, 2025.

Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed that there is not much time left, investors, localities, and related units must prepare everything to be ready to start construction.

Regarding the ground for the groundbreaking ceremony, the investor and local authorities have prepared carefully and ensured all necessary conditions. The way to organize the groundbreaking ceremony should be as simple as possible, in the spirit of economy, not heavy, not ostentatious.

Investors, localities, and related units prepare all conditions to invite all components from the Central to local levels to attend because this is a major event of the province.

As for Component Project 4, from now on, we will tackle any issues that are favorable first. Any issues that are too difficult will be resolved step by step. The goal is to accelerate the project implementation progress and disburse capital.
