Dak Lak: Inauguration of the monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard soldiers", presenting gifts to border people.

On September 2, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard coordinated to organize many meaningful activities, such as inaugurating the “Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers” monument, presenting more than 2,000 gifts to people and students in the border area. On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023).

Accordingly, in Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, Dak Lak province, Yok Don Border Guard Station coordinated with Hong Thien My Medical Supplies Joint Stock Company and Tuoi Hong Dien-Electronics Club (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) to organize the program "Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with children in the border highlands", presenting 100 gifts, each worth 450 thousand to disadvantaged households and presenting 1,400 gifts, worth from 130 thousand to 340 thousand to preschool, primary and secondary school students in the area. The total value of the program is over 500 million VND.

Next, in Ia Rve commune, Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province, Ia Rve Border Guard Station coordinated with sister units to organize the inauguration ceremony of the monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard soldiers". After more than 3.5 months of construction, the project was completed at the Ia Rve Border Guard Station campus, including: the statue is completely crafted from a monolithic natural stone block weighing 4.5 tons, 1.79m high, 1.25m long, 0.99m wide, modeled after the original work "Listen to the mountains and rivers" by author Vu Trong Khoi with the image of Uncle Ho caring and advising Border Guard soldiers.

The pillar is cast from reinforced concrete, covered with stone and engraved with a poem by Uncle Ho presented to officers and soldiers at the first Emulation Congress of the People's Armed Police Force (now the Border Guard) held in Hanoi on March 2, 1962.

The total cost of the project is nearly 400 million VND, which is the support source from the sister units and sponsors including: Central Business Union, Provincial Youth Union, Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, Dak Lak Provincial Tax Department, Ea Sup district, Ea Kar district, M'Drak district, Vietnam Airports Corporation, Mobifone Telecommunications Corporation, Dak Lak Provincial Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company, Coffee Company 15 (Military Region 5), Tay Nguyen Military Insurance Company, Vietnam Foreign Trade Bank, M'Drak Forestry and construction days of officers and soldiers of Ia Rve Border Post.

At the same time, at the People's Committee of Ia Rve commune, Yok M're Border Guard Station coordinated with the volunteer group of Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City and local authorities to present 170 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, and 100 school bags and 1,000 notebooks to poor ethnic minority students in the area, with a total value of more than 70 million VND.
