At noon on April 30, 1975, a series of loud fireworks exploded from the fifth floor of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) at its headquarters at 5 Ly Thuong Kiet (Hanoi). The Secretariat decided that the news agency would fire fireworks to announce a complete victory.

A large number of people in the capital gathered at the headquarters of the Vietnam News Agency (now the Vietnam News Agency) to listen to the first Victory Bulletin - the most important bulletin in the history of war, in the cause of national liberation - broadcast by the Vietnam News Agency.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Youth Union of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) organized a "check-in" activity with the April 30 Victory News and the national flag at the National News Center, No. 5 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi, attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and take photos.

In the historic April days 50 years after the National News Center, Hanoi has once again become a place for the capital's people to "check-in" and capture meaningful moments.

The check-in area includes the national flag in the middle, flanked by the VNA's victory news on April 30, 1975 and an article by General Secretary To Lam "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one"./.
