At the event, writer Nguyen Xuan Tuan shared: “The book is the result of a 5-year process of collecting and researching documents, from 2019 to 2024, by a team of many scientists, writers, researchers... The idea was conceived in 2019, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the project had to be temporarily suspended.

When the pandemic was under control, we continued with trips from Asian countries to Europe, to Africa and even America to collect documents. The journey of hundreds of days not only gave us valuable documents but also valuable experiences that we distilled into the book...”.

According to writer Nguyen Xuan Tuan, the core message of the book focuses on forecasting a number of key areas such as socio-economic development, forecasting hazards and risks. In addition, the book provides predictions, orientations, and solutions for sustainable and long-term development. In addition, the book also honors the values of beliefs and religions, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the beauty of national culture, including tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

Speaking at the book launch ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong - Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences and Environment said: “With the desire to bring insight into the future development of the country in all fields, including: The book project “The Road to the Future” was initiated by us with the support of many units, especially the team of scientific experts, researchers in many fields, is the product of the desire to bring an overview of major social issues.

Volume 1 of the book "The Road to the Future" not only provides general information about history, culture, economy, and practical situation, but also shares concepts, solutions, talents and development trends of the fields. From there, it opens up directions for the future of each individual, each organization, community and society.

Writer Tran Gia Thai - Chairman of the Hanoi Writers Association highly appreciated the approach of the book. According to him, reading the whole work, there is no trace of philosophy or lofty, difficult-to-understand scholarly theories, but only full of knowledge distilled from reality. The author flexibly uses the narrative voice, pulling the reader along with the experiential tone of an insider, thereby making a theoretical book become close, soft, and easy to read.

Many global issues such as crisis, sustainable development, risk management, etc. have been handled by the author with a new perspective, from practice to theory. That is what makes the book surprising and attractive.

On this occasion, writer Nguyen Xuan Tuan donated 100 books to the National Library of Vietnam.
