Dien Ban Town People's Committee also sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee, stating that Cau Lau Bridge (old) is a road bridge across Thu Bon River on National Highway 1, a beautiful and famous river located on the heritage route connecting Dien Ban Town and Duy Xuyen District, where there are many historical relics and famous craft villages.

In addition, the bridge also connects the tourist routes in the West of Quang Nam connecting Da Nang - Quang Nam (through Co Co River), so the idea of ​​planning and investing in building the old Cau Lau bridge into a tourist landscape bridge is reasonable, especially when waterway tourism is popular.

Therefore, Dien Ban Town People's Committee proposed that the Provincial People's Committee assign the Department of Transport to study and organize a competition for the architectural design of "Cau Lau landscape bridge" (or authorize the Town People's Committee to organize the competition) to have a basis and orientation for future tourism development.
