We know that every achievement we enjoy today was paid for with the blood and bones of our revolutionary predecessors and millions of Vietnamese people.

At the age of 18, I was fortunate to have just been admitted to the Party at the time of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan Province (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This can be said to be a great honor and a source of pride for myself and my family. To achieve this result, I have always tried my best to learn, constantly study and practice ethics; actively participate in the activities of the Youth Union and Association launched by the school and the locality. I always try to live with ideals, be exemplary, put the interests of the collective above personal interests, always respect and learn from the examples of previous Party members.

“There are many ways to express patriotism”, as a student, I express my patriotism by constantly improving my knowledge, maintaining discipline, constantly practicing ethics, living responsibly and being aware of the community. I actively participate in activities such as “Green Sunday”, cleaning the school, planting trees, participating in environmental protection propaganda, donating blood, being willing to share, helping people around me and spreading good values on social networks...

“We walk in the golden stars and fluttering flags, bustling and passionate. Footsteps are rushing here. Oh Saigon! Firmly believing for many years that one day of liberation will come…” – Although I did not live in that sacred historical moment, I and many young generations are always bustling, excited and filled with happiness every time we hear the above lyrics. The victory of April 30, 1975, that historic victory will forever be a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, the pinnacle of the spirit and intelligence of the Vietnamese people.

Today's young generation was born and raised, studied and matured in the independence and freedom of the homeland. Therefore, we always remember, respect and are grateful to the previous generation of grandfathers and fathers who died for the independence and freedom of the homeland and the country. We vow to continue to strive, uphold the spirit of volunteerism, and make every effort to build and protect the homeland to be worthy of the trust and love of the Party, Uncle Ho and the generations of fathers and brothers who died for the independence of the country. No matter what position we hold or what job we do, we must contribute as pioneers and role models to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

The historic April days and the heroic atmosphere of that year still remain in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. Today’s young generation always reminds ourselves: “There are days we cannot forget and must not forget!”

In 2025, our country will enter a major historical milestone: the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This is not only an opportunity for the entire Vietnamese people to express their deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed heroically, but also a moment for today's young generation to reflect on themselves and foster their aspirations to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous and happy. Half a century has passed, but every time the historic day of April 30 is mentioned, in the minds of every Vietnamese person, the image of the liberation army marching to Saigon with loud cheers, the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the sky, the triumphant song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory" echoes everywhere. The heroic and sacred atmosphere of that day of total victory remains intact in the hearts of many generations. The war has long gone, but the spirit of patriotism and the indomitable will of the nation are still an eternal flame in the hearts of every Vietnamese, especially the young generation. Facing the great achievements that our ancestors exchanged with so much blood, we understand that we have the responsibility to live a more worthy life, study, practice, and devote ourselves to not disappoint the expectations of those who laid down their lives for independence today.

In the context of the country's deep integration with the world, new challenges require the young generation to not only be steadfast in political will, but also to constantly improve in knowledge, morality and creative will. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, each of us tells ourselves that we must live with ideals and responsibility; constantly learn, innovate thinking, actively work creatively, dare to think, dare to do, dare to face challenges...

50 years have passed since the day the North and the South reunited, the country was reunited, those 50 years were a journey of great pride for the nation, for the country of Vietnam. For the young generation like us, although we were not born and raised in the context of a divided country and fierce war, we know clearly that to live, study and work in today's peaceful environment, the red blood of generations of fathers and grandfathers has merged with the motherland, those pains and losses cannot be described in words.

In the joyful atmosphere of these historic April days, as a young man, I am even more moved and proud, because I realize that our young generation is still very patriotic, we do not forget our country's past, we always remember and show gratitude to the previous generations who won independence and freedom for the nation. This is also an opportunity for us to look back at ourselves, clearly define our ideals and goals, from which we can have the right orientations in studying, training, and improving our qualifications, to gradually cultivate a pure heart, bright mind, and build great ambitions to contribute to bringing our country into a new era, an era of national growth.
