To serve the needs of people during the holiday, all means of transport, large and small, are operating at full capacity. According to records at Vinh station at noon on April 29, the number of passengers arriving at the station has gradually increased, and all trains stopping at Vinh station are fully booked for April 29-30.

Mr. Cao Ngoc Tuan - Station Manager of Vinh Railway Transport Station said: On April 29, there were 11 pairs of trains operating and stopping to pick up passengers at Vinh station, including 7 pairs of Thong Nhat trains, 3 pairs of regional trains and 1 pair of NA 1 - 2 trains with a total number of passengers getting on and off the train of about 2,500 people, including nearly 1,500 passengers going to Nghe An, 1,000 passengers from Nghe An going to other provinces and cities.
The number of visitors during the holiday is about 4-5 times higher than normal days. The evening of April 29 and the morning of April 30 will have the highest number of visitors when the holiday officially begins.
This year, the trend of choosing to travel by train has shown clear signs of increasing. Not only because train ticket prices are relatively stable compared to the high price of air tickets, but also because people have the need to experience long journeys on the North-South Thong Nhat train line.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, Vietnam Railways has launched a pair of trains SE1 and SE4 named "Reunification Train" across Vietnam, making this form of transport even more attractive to tourists. Tickets for this train were quickly booked by the people. At Vinh station at noon on April 29, many passengers carried national flags and sang songs about love for their homeland and country together on their journey during the holiday.
To better serve the travel needs of passengers, Vinh station has increased its staff to support people in traveling, ensuring safety, speed and convenience. Ticket prices are also publicly listed at the station or on the online ticket purchasing page of Vietnam Railways for passengers to choose the train, carriage, seat number and appropriate departure time.
In addition to trains, bus stations also recorded a sharp increase in the number of passengers. At Bac Vinh Bus Station, from April 27 to 30, the number of buses departing increased by 20 to 30% compared to normal days. Notably, trips such as Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Da Nang, Vinh - Hue, Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City... were sold out a week ago if traveling on April 29 - 30.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, representative of the bus company running the Vinh - Hanoi route, shared: "Most of the bus tickets for the April 30 holiday this year have been fully booked, we have almost no time to rest. As soon as we get off the bus, we quickly eat, refuel and turn around to pick up new passengers."
Not only trains and buses, but the number of passengers booking airline tickets during the holiday has also skyrocketed. Most of the flights to Vinh on April 29 were fully booked, with only a few business class tickets left at several times the cost.
According to a survey on the online ticket sales pages of Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air... other flights with high numbers of bookings during the April 30 - May 1 holiday include: Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh - Nha Trang, Vinh - Da Lat, Vinh - Can Tho, Vinh - Phu Quoc... ticket prices for these routes are all double compared to normal days.

Mr. Nghiem Manh Tuan - Director of Vinh International Airport said: Currently, Vinh airport has an average of 50 flights taking off and landing every day, and during the holiday, airlines have additional flights to serve the people. The airport also has a plan to ensure flight safety, security and order for people returning home during the holiday.
To reduce pressure on public transport, the transport sector recommends that people should flexibly switch to private vehicles if possible. At the same time, if you have already purchased a one-way ticket, you should proactively book a return ticket to avoid the "red-eyed" situation of searching for tickets after the holiday. In addition, people can choose to travel during less busy times such as early morning or late at night to increase the possibility of getting tickets.
