VHO - This morning, August 1, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold a meeting to commend and reward the Vietnam U23 team after winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship.

Attending were Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and leaders and representatives of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Olympic Committee and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Previously, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy signed Decision No. 2673/QD-BVHTTDL on awarding Certificates of Merit to individuals.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong welcomed the Vietnam U23 team at Noi Bai airport on the night of July 30.

The decision clearly states that Certificates of Merit will be awarded to 5 individuals who have made achievements in supporting the National U23 Men's Football Team to compete excellently and win the Gold Medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Football Championship held in Indonesia, including: Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Head of the National U23 Men's Football Team; Mr. Do Anh Van - Interpreter of the National U23 Men's Football Team; Mr. Nguyen Truong An - Doctor of the National U23 Men's Football Team; Mr. Vu Anh Dung - Medical staff of the National U23 Men's Football Team; Mr. Luu Quang Loi - Medical staff of the National U23 Men's Football Team.

These are all individuals who have made significant contributions to the journey of defending the title of U23 Vietnam at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Football Championship held in Indonesia recently.

Vietnam U23 team wins U23 Southeast Asia Championship 2025

It is expected that at the end of August, U23 Vietnam will gather again to prepare for the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers taking place in early September.

After the victory in Southeast Asia, U23 Vietnam will embark on a new journey with more challenges - the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers. According to the plan of the Vietnam Football Federation, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will regroup at the end of August, before entering the official matches from the beginning of September.

This is an important qualifying round, deciding the ticket to the U23 Asian Cup Finals - a tournament of strategic significance in the journey of accumulating experience, improving competitive spirit and gradually preparing forces for the national team in the future.

With the spiritual foundation from the Southeast Asian championship, thorough preparation and a team that is at its peak, fans can fully expect a successful new journey for the "Golden Star Warriors".
