On the evening of April 17, in Ha Long City, the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the closing ceremony of the 24th Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025. Attending were comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Federation; on the side of Quang Ninh province, there was comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; on the side of China, there was comrade Tang Due, Editor-in-Chief of the China Youth Newspaper, Head of the Chinese youth delegation.
The 24th Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025 took place in the context of the bilateral relationship in recent times maintaining a good development momentum and achieving many important results. Especially after the historic visits of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two States, along with the agreement of the two sides to continue to deepen and further enhance the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a "Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance" with the connotation of "6 more", the bilateral relationship entered a new stage of development, increasingly profound, comprehensive and substantive, creating a strong spillover effect to all levels and sectors of both sides, forming a vibrant, effective and practical atmosphere of cooperation.
In his closing speech, comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, emphasized: This year's meeting is of great significance, an important demonstration in concretizing the results and the high-level Joint Statement, contributing to propagating to the young generations of the two countries about the new developments in the Vietnam-China relationship; shouldering the responsibility of inheriting and constantly developing the "close Vietnam-China relationship, both comrades and brothers" - a precious common asset of the two Parties, two countries and peoples, personally built by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong and the two countries' predecessors.
Comrade Zeng Rui, Editor-in-Chief of the China Youth Newspaper, Head of the Chinese Youth Delegation, expressed his belief that the youth of the two countries will work together steadfastly and constantly strive, and that both sides will certainly overcome all challenges and make important contributions to the modernization of each country, as well as the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future. At the same time, he emphasized that this is also the message that this year's theme of the "Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting" - "Vietnam-China Youth, Firm in Ideals" wants to convey to all youth of both sides.
During the 6 days (from April 12-17), many important programs and events took place between the two sides such as: paying courtesy visits to leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam; leaders of localities; talks between the First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the First Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth Union of China; attending the forum "Vietnamese - Chinese Youth: Firmly upholding ideals"; discussing and exchanging experiences between youth delegates of the two countries on issues: Youth theory work; Youth solidarity, gathering and building Youth Union and Association organizations; Youth participation in socio-economic development, digital transformation, etc.; visiting and working at agencies, units, youth institutions and scenic spots in the localities of Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh.
This meeting program is of great significance, aiming to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the “Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year”; helping to concretize the results and high-level joint statement, contributing to promoting to the young generation of the two countries about the new developments in Vietnam-China relations; creating consensus and great support from the young generation and people for the relationship between the two countries. At the same time, it helps to enhance understanding, exchange and sharing of experiences in Youth Union work and youth movements between the Youth Union organizations of the two countries; promoting and introducing the country, people and development achievements after nearly 40 years of renovation of Vietnam.
