Provincial leaders offered incense and laid wreaths at the Monument to the Provincial Heroes and Martyrs.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations of the province.

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates laid wreaths with the words "Forever grateful to the martyrs" and offered incense, taking a minute of silence to express their sincere gratitude and deep respect to the heroic martyrs - the outstanding sons of Bac Giang who did not spare their youth, selflessly sacrificing themselves to contribute to the victory of the nation.

Provincial leaders observed a minute of silence in memory of comrade Ngo Gia Tu.

The Party, government, people of all ethnic groups and armed forces in the province will forever remember the great contributions of the heroic martyrs; vow to live, fight, work and study following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh; follow the glorious tradition of previous generations, determined to build the homeland of Bac Giang increasingly civilized and prosperous.

It is known that in the resistance wars against France and the US, to protect the border and build the Fatherland, the whole province had nearly 21 thousand martyrs who fought and sacrificed heroically; nearly 1,500 "Heroic Vietnamese Mothers" were awarded or posthumously awarded noble titles; more than 15,700 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and demobilized soldiers.

At Ngo Gia Tu Park, the provincial delegation laid a wreath in memory of comrade Ngo Gia Tu - one of the outstanding leaders of the Party - an outstanding and loyal son of the nation who fought and sacrificed his whole life for the country, for the freedom and happiness of the people.
