Nui Chua belongs to Ham Ninh range, located in Bai Thom commune, Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province). The entire geology of Nui Chua lies deep in the core of the primeval forest, in the strictly protected area of Phu Quoc National Park.

This is one of the largest biodiversity centers in Vietnam with an area assigned to Phu Quoc National Park for management and protection of up to 36,262 hectares, including 29,596 hectares of special-use forest and 6,666 hectares of protective forest; the forest accounts for 2/3 of the natural area of Phu Quoc Island. This is also the place recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve.

Director of Phu Quoc National Park Nguyen Van Tiep said that forest protection teams are always on duty 24/7, regularly patrolling, promptly detecting and preventing acts of encroachment or deforestation, contributing to the conservation of diverse ecosystems and natural landscapes. In particular, the strictly protected subdivision has many beautiful forest habitats and diverse flora and fauna. The Chua Mountain area is under strict protection.
