Giving away 50,000 gifts to tourists visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum on April 30 and May 1

NDO - On April 30 and May 1, Hanoi Department of Tourism gave away 50,000 gifts to tourists visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in order to create favorable conditions for people and domestic and international tourists to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, the Hanoi People's Committee coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command to organize a gift-giving program on major holidays in 2025.

Accordingly, in 2025, the city will prepare 110,000 gifts including: 1 bottle of water and 1 loaf of bread, or 1 carton of milk and 1 loaf of bread for people and tourists visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum on major holidays.

Specifically, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), 50,000 gifts were prepared; on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19), 25,000 gifts were prepared; and on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2), 35,000 gifts were prepared.

On April 30, drinking water, milk and cakes were handed out to the people and tourists by officers, employees and soldiers of the Mausoleum Management Board and the Hanoi Department of Tourism. The gift bags were small but contained warm feelings for tourists visiting the Mausoleum during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism said that the program of giving gifts to tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is an annual activity, with profound humanistic meaning, expressing the affection of the capital Hanoi towards the people of the whole country and tourists; at the same time contributing to promoting the image of the city's tourism as a "friendly - quality - attractive" destination.
