Ho Chi Minh City passenger bus hits median strip, 3 people die

(NLDO) - On the way carrying passengers to the South, a passenger bus with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate crashed into the median strip, killing 3 people and injuring more than 10 others.


This morning (February 8), Mr. Phan Tran Van Huy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Song Cau town, Phu Yen province, said that local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the tragic accident that occurred early that morning.

Accordingly, the accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. this morning on National Highway 1, passing Nai Pass, in Hoa Hiep Village, Xuan Thinh Commune, Song Cau Town. According to Mr. Huy, at that time, the Tan Kim passenger bus with Ho Chi Minh City license plate running from North to South crashed into the median strip and flipped over onto the road.

The accident killed three people on the spot and injured more than 10 others. "We took the seriously injured to Binh Dinh General Hospital for emergency treatment, while the rest were taken to Song Cau Town Medical Center," said Mr. Huy.
