Tan Minh Commune mobilized nearly 100 million VND to support the conversion of water supply areas.

On August 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Minh commune organized a campaign for officials, civil servants, public employees and businesses to support and socialize funding for converting water supply areas.

The campaign took place from August 21 to August 29. Officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, etc. donated at least one day's salary or more; businesses, groups, individuals, and philanthropists donated voluntarily.

Collectives and individuals can transfer money directly to the account of Tan Minh Commune People's Committee at VietinBank - Tien Lang Transaction Office, account number 113.859.466.666 (content: Support funding for converting water supply areas).

At the launching conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Minh commune collected 99.8 million VND in donations.

In Tan Minh commune, there are currently 5 water plants providing domestic water for the people (including the former communes: Bach Dang, Doan Lap, Cap Tien and Kien Thiet). The total number of households using water in the area is 9,312, reaching 100%. The quality of water sources of the 5 mini water plants, according to the assessment of the authorities, do not meet current standards.

In order to implement the request to change the water supply area, Tan Minh Commune People's Committee completed the valuation of the assets of mini water plants in the previous communes. The total value of the remaining assets is more than 20.2 billion VND.

As of mid-August, Cap Tien commune (old) mobilized 2.2 billion VND from social sources, Kien Thiet commune (old) mobilized 2.9 billion VND, Doan Lap commune (old) mobilized 320 million VND, Bach Dang commune (old) has not mobilized any funds. The total mobilized funds is more than 5.5 billion VND, equivalent to 27.2% of the plan.

Tan Minh Commune People's Committee has established a Steering Committee, assigning tasks to each member in charge of the villages to direct and urge the propaganda work, mobilize people and businesses to socialize the support fund for water plants according to the valuation results. Strive to collect enough socialized funds in 2025.

Along with propaganda and mobilization, the Commune People's Committee together with Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company focused on providing clean water to people in the Cap Tien Commune area (formerly) before December 31, to create an effect in the remaining villages.
