In the 2020 - 2025 term, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee and people of Pleiku ward have promoted the spirit of solidarity and strived to achieve many important achievements in all fields.

The average growth rate of production value over the past 5 years is estimated at 10.01%. Of which, industry increased by 10.17%; construction increased by 7.62%, agriculture - forestry - fishery increased by 3.24%; services increased by 10.89%. In 2025, the total production value is estimated at 48,490 billion VND, an increase of 8% compared to 2020; export turnover in the period of 2021 - 2025 is estimated to reach 100% of the plan. Average income per capita by 2025 is estimated at 145 million VND/year, 1.75 times higher than in 2020.

Notably, the industry - construction sector has a fairly good growth rate, the estimated production value in 2025 is 1.9 times higher than in 2020, the average increase over 5 years is 9.36%, affirming its important role in the economic development of the ward. Tra Da Industrial Park with 62 projects, total registered investment capital of 3,797.5 billion VND (nearly 2,983 billion VND has been implemented) has been operating effectively, contributing to creating jobs for many local workers. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in 2025 is estimated at 26,690 billion VND, 1.79 times higher than in 2020, the average increase over 5 years is 10.89%.

Infrastructure investment and construction work has always been focused on. In particular, many works and projects have been implemented according to plan and put into effective use, contributing to a clean and beautiful urban appearance. Urban investment, renovation and development work has had many changes, with the urbanization rate reaching 92%.

The poverty rate in the ward is currently only 0.04%; the rate of people participating in health insurance compared to the population is 89.94%; 100% of medical stations with doctors are maintained; 100% of villages, hamlets, and residential groups in the area have achieved the title of cultural residential area...

In Party building, the work of consolidating and building grassroots party organizations and improving the quality of party members in the new period has been given attention; the quality of party committees and party cell secretaries has been increasingly improved. Grassroots party organizations have maintained and promoted their role as the political nucleus of comprehensive leadership at the grassroots level. During the past term, party organizations admitted 121 new party members, accounting for 5.6% of the total number of party members at the beginning of the Party Committee's term (2,143 party members). The rate of party organizations completing their tasks well has increased compared to the beginning of the term.

Building Pleiku into a model ward

Pleiku Ward was established on the basis of merging 4 wards: Tay Son, Hoi Thuong, Hoa Lu, Phu Dong and Tra Da commune. This is the urban foundation area, socio-economic center, and dynamic development area of the province.

On that basis, Pleiku determined the goal for the 2025 - 2030 term to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; focus on improving the leadership capacity of Party committees and organizations at all levels. Focus on removing bottlenecks and bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies; unblock and release resources to serve socio-economic development.

To realize the common goal, Pleiku ward will focus on leading and directing the implementation of 5 key tasks. Firstly, focus on implementing projects of shopping, culinary, and night-time entertainment areas (Hoi Phu stream area, Dai Doan Ket Square...). Attract investment in projects with spillover effects such as: CK54 urban area; luxury villas and townhouses; Luong Thanh street residential area project; Tra Da eco-tourism and resort villas; high-rise commercial complex construction project; commercial, service, shophouse projects; Ly Tu Trong street residential area project and surrounding areas; markets, commercial centers, high-tech agriculture...

Second, promote the development of community tourism associated with the exploitation of local cultural and historical values. Invest in community tourism sites associated with the exploitation of cultural, historical and ecological potential at PleiOp Community Tourism Cultural Village. Develop tourism, resort services, cuisine, traditional craft villages... to create sustainable livelihoods for people and promote local socio-economic development.

Third, coordinate to effectively exploit Tra Da Industrial Park, support the development of small and medium enterprises and start-ups in the area. Strive for an average growth rate of industrial and construction production value over 8.63% in the past 5 years.

Fourth, develop agriculture towards commodity production; form concentrated specialized areas, apply high technology in production. Strive to have the average income value per hectare of cultivated land reach 400 million VND or more by 2030. Promote the implementation of the OCOP program, develop a 5-star product, build and develop a chain linking production and product consumption.

Fifth, continue to invest in completing the urban infrastructure system, deploy the establishment and approval of urban construction planning projects with the goal of "covering" the zoning plan of the entire ward, and the detailed construction plan reaches over 60%. Effectively exploit resources for investment in construction of technical infrastructure and social welfare works; prioritize capital investment in traffic works, drainage systems, lighting systems; invest in developing internal traffic systems, static traffic systems, and external traffic systems according to the planning and development orientation of the ward until 2030; at the same time, expand the network, upgrade the clean water supply system...

Besides, Pleiku Ward Party Committee identified 3 breakthroughs.

Innovate management thinking towards a creative government; promote breakthroughs in science and technology, administrative reform, digital transformation, increase the use of comprehensive public services, increase the rate of file settlement to serve and develop.

Building a team of ward officials with comprehensive capacity, applying digital technology, understanding people, and being close to reality; creating conditions and mechanisms to attract, train and promote young officials with qualifications, enthusiasm and responsibility. Along with that, focusing on developing urban culture, promoting traditional cultural values associated with trade, services, and tourism into a spearhead economic sector; in which, taking community tourism and cultural experiences as the focus, building Pleiku ward into a green - civilized - and unique "destination".
