Despite the heavy rain, it could not drown out the singing of the Vietnamese people with the resilient and indomitable spirit of the soldiers of the past.

"Heads that do not bow with age"

Attending the event, veterans and former youth volunteers expressed their emotions at once again having the opportunity to mark another proud milestone in their lives. Ms. Nguyen Thanh An, a 76-year-old veteran, shared that she and many of her comrades had gone through war and dreamed of a day when the country would be at peace . Today, standing with her friends who fought and died together, singing the National Anthem on this important day, she felt like she was reliving the most glorious years of the nation.

"The heart still beats like when we were in the army - partly because of memories, partly because we still feel we are being dedicated and respected. These heads will not bow down because of age but will be raised high because of national pride."

Not only is it a patriotic chorus, the event also has symbolic value, an emotional declaration of the modern generation of seniors. Through many stages of life, they still persistently contribute with their intelligence, experience and heart, always ready to participate in community activities, contributing to the development of society.

They do not stand on the sidelines of life but proactively integrate into the flow of the times, being an indispensable part on the journey to building a prosperous and thriving country.
