The resilience of a countryside

On all the roads from the commune center to each hamlet and village of Tan Phu commune, in the middle of the historic August, banners, flags, and slogans were brilliant. Not only in the halls, but the atmosphere of preparing for the Tan Phu Commune Party Congress also spread to every family and every street. Based on the merger of 4 communes: Hoan Long, Tan Phu, Nghia Thai and Tan Xuan, Tan Phu commune has a natural area of 93.32km², with more than 28,800 people, 30 hamlets, 52 party committees, affiliated party cells and 1,215 party members.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and people of the predecessor communes (Hoan Long, Tan Phu, Nghia Thai, Tan Xuan) have achieved proud achievements: The economy grew by an average of 10% per year, the average income per capita reached over 62 million VND, the construction of new rural areas was improved, infrastructure was invested synchronously, the poverty rate decreased to 0.02%.

In particular, 100% of schools meet national standards, including 3 schools meeting level 2 standards; national defense and security work is maintained, social order and safety are stable.

The highlight in the preparation process for the Congress is that the Commune Party Committee has organized to collect wide opinions from cadres, Party members and people on the draft political report. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, owner of a greenhouse model in Ha Suu hamlet, said: “I really hope that the commune will continue to pay attention to developing agricultural production applying science and technology, creating conditions for people to expand commodity production, thereby increasing income. Hearing the political report set the target of reaching 100 million VND per capita income by 2030, we have even more expectations.”

Three breakthroughs in the new phase

In particular, the commune identifies 3 breakthroughs, which are not only strategic orientations but also demonstrate high political determination and consensus of cadres, party members and people in the commune.

Specifically analyzing each breakthrough, Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Thang said: The first breakthrough is to develop key infrastructure to promote socio-economic development. Identifying transportation as the lifeblood of development, Tan Phu commune focuses on mobilizing all resources to build and upgrade the rural transportation system, facilitating the trade of goods and travel of people.

Along with that, the commune focuses on upgrading the electricity infrastructure, ensuring production and daily life, while promoting investment in infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters in a concentrated and modern direction, opening up opportunities to attract investment and create more jobs for local workers.

The second breakthrough is focusing on digital transformation, enhancing the application of information technology in administrative procedure reform. Tan Phu strongly deploys digitalization of records, optimizes the process of handling administrative procedures, provides online public services, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses.

The application of new technology helps to improve transparency, accuracy, shorten time, reduce costs, thereby increasing people's satisfaction. At the same time, this is also the foundation for building an open investment and business environment, promoting economic development.

The third breakthrough is to promote the application of scientific and technological advances in agriculture, aiming at sustainable development. The commune Party Committee encourages farmers to apply technology to monitor and manage crops and livestock; optimize the use of water and fertilizer; expand safe production models, reduce chemicals, and protect the environment.

At the same time, the commune focuses on developing technology for preserving and processing agricultural products to increase value and reduce post-harvest losses.
