Gao Commune determined to break through for comprehensive development

The Party Committee of Gao Commune was established on the basis of merging 3 Party Committees: Gao Commune, Ia Kenh Commune, Pleiku City (old) and Ia Pech Commune, Ia Grai District (old); with 32 affiliated Party organizations, 480 Party members. The total natural area of the commune is 182.47 km², population is 15,957 people, the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for 64%.

Achieve and exceed most targets for the 2020-2025 term

Right from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committees of the three communes have regularly paid attention to and directed the synchronous implementation of propaganda and education solutions, improving political capacity, and being steadfast in the Party's innovation policy for cadres and party members; strengthening solidarity and unity within the Party Committee and consensus among the people. Timely dissemination, propaganda, and concretization of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the Party and organizing their implementation have achieved important results. Party member development work has been focused on, admitting 82 new party members during the term.

In particular, the commune has effectively implemented the policy of streamlining the political system apparatus, making it operate effectively and efficiently, creating clear changes in direction and administration.

Based on the potential of fertile land and abundant labor force, the communes have identified agriculture as the main industry. Coffee continues to be affirmed as the main crop. At the same time, promoting the transformation of crop structure, applying science and technology to production. Many effective models have been implemented such as grafting multiple stems on coffee trees, intercropping fruit trees to increase economic value.

Livestock farming remains stable, disease prevention and control work is carried out regularly. Thanks to that, the value of agricultural production increases steadily every year. By the end of 2024, the average income per capita of Gao commune (old) will reach 70 million VND (100% of the target), Ia Kenh commune (old) will reach 50.4 million VND (105% of the target), Ia Pech commune (old) will reach 50.74 million VND (195% of the target).

Trade and service activities have developed, service quality has been increasingly improved, contributing to expanding production links associated with goods consumption, meeting people's consumption needs and promoting local economic growth. Communes have also created favorable conditions to attract investment in developing industries, renewable energy, agricultural processing, mechanics, etc., creating jobs for local workers. Annual budget revenue has met and exceeded targets.

In addition, national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, and development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas have been implemented synchronously, receiving consensus from the people, contributing to making the rural appearance increasingly prosperous, the material and spiritual life of the people improved, especially in ethnic minority villages. Infrastructure for transportation, irrigation, electricity, schools, and stations has been invested. To date, 6/17 villages have met new rural standards according to the new set of criteria.

There has been much progress in the cultural and social fields; social security policies have been fully implemented, the poverty rate has decreased to 3.52%. National defense and security have been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured.

Economic breakthrough, cultural preservation

Entering the period of 2025 - 2030, with the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Responsibility - Breakthrough - Development", the Party Committee of Gao commune determines to improve the quality of people's lives, develop sustainable socio-economic development, associated with building advanced new rural areas; preserve cultural identity; promote digital transformation, protect the environment; maintain national defense - security and build a clean and strong Party.

The Commune Party Committee identified 4 key programs and 6 specific tasks.

Accordingly, the Party Committee continues to strengthen propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life; proactively combat erroneous and hostile viewpoints, firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation. Strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism in Party organization and activities, combine the work of building, consolidating and perfecting the Party organization with enhancing the development of new party members; build strong villages and hamlets in all aspects.

Notably, in terms of economy, the commune focuses on developing according to the following structure: agriculture; trade - services - tourism; small-scale industry. Thoroughly grasp and concretize Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on strongly developing the private economy to become an important driving force of the economy.

In particular, focus on developing agriculture towards commodity production, linking production according to value chains, applying high technology, clean and organic agriculture to production, increasing added value and product quality; doing a good job of crop planning, organizing production effectively. Actively converting crop structure to suit market demand; effectively implementing programs, plans and projects to support enterprises, cooperatives and households in developing high-tech agriculture, producing agricultural products with VietGAP, GlobalGAP certification... associated with product quality control and traceability. Focus on reviewing, adjusting and implementing well the General Planning Project of the commune until 2030, annual land use plan, ensuring exploitation of the potential and advantages of the commune.

Regarding infrastructure, the commune continues to effectively implement the motto "State and People work together", investing in upgrading roads and rural infrastructure works, meeting the criteria of advanced new rural areas.

Along with that, strengthen the management of the cultural sector, promote information and propaganda with many diverse, rich and suitable forms. Continue to maintain and preserve national cultural identity, effectively exploit the available tourism potential of the locality...

Implement innovation, improve the quality of education, apply information technology in teaching and learning, attach importance to education on traditional ethics, lifestyle, and skills. Improve the quality of primary health care for people. Effectively implement social security policies; synchronously deploy solutions to ensure political security and social order and safety in the area.
