This garden used to be full of wild plants. In 2021, officers and soldiers of Lung Cu Border Post (Ha Giang Provincial Border Guard) supported labor days to renovate the mixed garden; supported funds to buy pear seedlings for planting and also instructed the family to grow more cabbage to earn short-term income to support long-term income... so the family had the conditions to develop the economy.

In charge of the two border communes of Lung Cu and Ma Le, with a poverty rate according to the new criteria of about 45%, the Party Committee and Command of Lung Cu Border Guard Station have identified the attention, care and support for the people to develop the economy as one of the important political tasks. From there, the Party Committee and Command of the Station regularly pay attention to, lead and direct the mass mobilization work and concretize it into resolutions, programs and plans that are close to the practical situation of the unit as well as the locality such as: Resolution on thematic leadership of ethnic work in the new situation; plan to implement the mass mobilization work of the government in 2024; plan to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2024 and the period 2023-2025.

One of the effective mass mobilization models being implemented by Lung Cu Border Guard Station is the model of "Cow rotation for reproduction" in Say Sa Phin, Then Van hamlets, Lung Cu commune and Ban Thung, Ma Lung B hamlets, Ma Le commune. Recently, the Station has handed over 5 rotating cows to 5 households in difficult circumstances in Say Sa Phin, Then Van hamlets and Ban Thung hamlets. Currently, the total number of mother cows has reached more than 30. When the mother cow gives birth, the calf will be kept by the household and the mother cow will be rotated to another poor household to raise. At the same time, Lung Cu Border Guard Station also effectively maintains programs, models and projects to help people develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty such as: "Helping children go to school" program, "Adopted children of the border guard station"; "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" project. Currently, the Station is supporting, sponsoring and nurturing 24 students with especially difficult circumstances, including: Directly nurturing 3 children at the unit, sponsoring 4 children at home and 17 children in the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school".

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hung, Political Commissar of Lung Cu Border Guard Station, said: In order to effectively implement mass mobilization and special propaganda work, the Station has closely coordinated with local agencies, departments, branches and organizations to organize propaganda and dissemination of legal education for cadres and people in the area. Mobilize people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; promote socio-economic development, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, enhance spirit and responsibility in participating in protecting national border sovereignty and security in the new situation. At the same time, advise and coordinate the organization of programs: "Spring border guards warm the hearts of the villagers" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, "National Border Guard Festival"; "Full Moon Festival on the Border in the Far North"... through which hundreds of gifts were given to poor households, families with meritorious services, and poor students in the two communes of Ma Le and Lung Cu, contributing to fostering a prosperous life in the far northern border of the Fatherland.
