VNDIRECT Securities Corporation (HoSE: VND) has just announced that the system is expected to return to normal operation on April 1, 2024 (next Monday).

The securities company also said it is drafting new policies to share and compensate for the inconveniences customers face during days when they cannot trade.

"We confirm that all customer information is guaranteed to be safe and secure, completely unaffected, as hackers were not able to penetrate the data system and all customer data of the system has been stored on the Cloud," VNDIRECT informed.

The company successfully completed the transaction flow on the simulated environment at 9:00 p.m. on March 28. Currently, VNDIRECT has completed the procedures with the information security management agency to be able to officially connect with the 2 stock exchanges, with the fastest completion date being March 29.

Regarding the hacking incident of VNDIRECT, both Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) announced that they would disconnect transactions with this securities company from the afternoon of March 26. This activity will be reconnected when the securities company fully recovers from the incident.

Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024, VNDIRECT's entire system was attacked by an international organization, resulting in VNDIRECT's entire trading platform being temporarily inaccessible.

Until March 27, investors can check their balance on the My Account system. Immediately after that, VNDIRECT recommends that customers change their passwords immediately after logging into the system .
