Two children in Tay Ninh suffered severe burns: Parents are in critical condition

Regarding the case of a father suspected of setting fire that caused the whole family to suffer, the City Children's Hospital is trying to treat two children, and Cho Ray Hospital is providing emergency care for the children's father and mother.

Accordingly, the two patients being treated at the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, Cho Ray Hospital, are Ms. NTH (32 years old) and Mr. TKĐ. (37 years old, Ms. H.'s ex-husband and also the suspect).

The patients were transferred to Ho Chi Minh City on August 17. At the time of admission, Ms. NTH was diagnosed with gasoline burns, 74% of her body was burned in 2nd-3rd degree, shock, and respiratory burns. Mr. TKĐ had 77% of his body burned in 2nd-3rd degree, burn shock, and respiratory burns.

Faced with the above situation, the medical team quickly transferred the patients to the Intensive Care Unit. After that, they performed endotracheal intubation, fluid and electrolyte replacement, antibiotic infusion, and intensive wound care...

According to Dr. Ngo Duc Hiep, Head of the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, Cho Ray Hospital, the team is currently closely monitoring the two patients, but their condition is very serious, with a critical prognosis.

Initial information, on the morning of August 17, a fire broke out in a rented room in Tay Ninh , where Ms. H. and her two young children were living. The fire caused serious injuries to the whole family. The cause, suspected to be the father (divorced) poured gasoline on the victims and set them on fire.

Currently, 2 children QG (13 years old) and BL (5 years old) are seriously injured, suffering from respiratory burns and sepsis. Doctors at the City Children's Hospital are doing their best to treat and save the children's lives.
