At the meeting, the leaders of the communes reported on the general situation of the Party Committee's activities after the merger; organizational work; socio-economic development; national defense and security; Party building and political system; and preparations for the Party Congress of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.

In addition to the achieved results, localities presented some difficulties in the post-merger operation process, such as: The database system of central ministries and branches has not been synchronously connected with the national public service portal and the one-stop system of An Giang province, causing difficulties in operations, especially in the land sector.

After the merger, the workload increased due to strong decentralization and delegation of authority, causing some difficulties for specialized agencies and public administrative service centers; equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, etc. have degraded, affecting work progress and quality.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tong Phuoc Truong emphasized that despite many difficulties, the communes have basically completed the streamlining and consolidation of the organizational apparatus, contributing to the smooth and effective operation of the government apparatus and creating consensus among the people. The staff and civil servants at the public administrative service center have made efforts to improve the quality of administrative procedure settlement, creating trust and satisfaction for the people.

To continue effectively implementing the tasks, comrade Tong Phuoc Truong suggested that the communes continue to review and adjust the planning in accordance with the new commune criteria; effectively implement the national target program on new rural construction, associated with economic development projects, to improve people's lives and ensure social security. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure the conditions of facilities, schools and equipment for the new school year; strengthen security and order, proactively prevent crimes...

Regarding the preparation for the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, localities need to comprehensively evaluate the results and limitations of the term. Focus on building a new development strategy, clearly identifying breakthroughs to make a mark in the coming term.

Regarding the recommendations of the 5 communes, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tong Phuoc Truong requested the working group to fully synthesize them to submit to the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee for consideration and timely support. At the same time, he noted that relevant departments and branches should strengthen coordination, guidance and support for localities, especially for urgent issues, to ensure the administrative apparatus operates effectively and better meets the needs of the people.
