Working scene.

At the working session, representatives of agencies and functional forces of Lai Chau province reported on the situation of law enforcement in crime prevention and control and law violations; anti-corruption work; results of civil judgment enforcement work, monitoring of administrative judgment enforcement to serve the survey on the situation of law enforcement in law enforcement work in 2025; the situation of law enforcement in crime prevention and control and anti-corruption work; investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment enforcement work from the beginning of 2025 to the present time of the People's Court and the People's Procuracy of the province; the situation of law enforcement in crime prevention and control and law violations.

The representative of the Provincial Inspectorate leadership reported on the situation of law enforcement in crime prevention and control and law violations; and corruption prevention and control.

Accordingly, from the beginning of the year to July 1, the political security situation in the area was basically stable, with no cases of national security violations. The work of preventing and combating violations of the law on social order, drugs, and the environment was implemented synchronously and comprehensively with many measures. The work of detecting, investigating, and handling crimes was focused on and implemented. The work of detecting and handling corruption continued to receive attention and direction from all levels and sectors in the province, in conjunction with inspection, examination, settlement of complaints, denunciations, auditing, and internal inspection.

Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee has issued 8 documents, programs, and plans to direct crime prevention and control; established the Provincial Crime Prevention and Control Steering Committee. The results of the assessment of corruption prevention and control work in 2024 of Lai Chau province reached 73.26 points/100 points. The whole province had 109 cases of social order (a decrease of 16 cases compared to the same period in 2024), 99 cases were investigated and clarified; 158 subjects were arrested and handled. All levels and sectors have organized 63 inspections and examinations of corruption; through inspections, economic violations with a total amount of nearly 7 billion VND were discovered, 17 decisions on administrative sanctions were issued against 10 organizations and 6 individuals...

At the meeting, delegates contributed their opinions on difficulties, obstacles and limitations in the work of detecting, investigating, handling crimes, forensic examination and asset valuation in criminal proceedings, corruption; difficulties in coordination with judicial agencies...

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the opinions of the comrades in the Working Group, which proposed many solutions for Lai Chau province to better implement the judicial sector. He suggested that departments and branches absorb the opinions of the members of the Working Group to complete the report and implement the tasks more effectively in the coming time.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Do Duc Hong Ha - Vice Chairman of the Committee for Law and Justice highly appreciated the spirit and responsibility of Lai Chau province in the preparation and reporting work. He acknowledged the efforts and results of the province in preventing and combating crime, law violations, corruption, as well as investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments. He suggested that after the meeting, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee continue to complete the report, supplement data, clarify a number of recommendations and proposals for the Committee for Law and Justice to synthesize and report to the National Assembly for consideration and comments in the coming time.
