The 2025 ASEAN Women's Cup final was tense and exciting from the very first minutes. As soon as the opening whistle blew, the Australian women's players quickly took control of the game while Myanmar chose a tight defensive style, waiting for counter-attack opportunities.

As early as the 5th minute, Holly Furphy made the Myanmar goal wobble after a chaotic situation in the penalty area, but the ball still did not go into the net. In the following minutes, Cassidy and his teammates continuously launched dangerous shots, but the Myanmar goalkeeper had excellent reflexes to deny the goal.

Myanmar also showed their tenacity and were not completely outclassed. In the 11th minute, Win Theingi Tun unexpectedly fired a long-range shot that made the audience gasp, although the ball was inaccurate. In the 17th minute, Yu Per Khaing escaped into the penalty area and fired a powerful shot, forcing the Australian defender to work hard to block it. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the second half, the match was played at a high tempo. The Australian team continuously increased the pressure. In the 52nd and 57th minutes, the goal frame twice denied goals from Cicco and Cassidy, leaving the Kangaroo girls regretful. Meanwhile, Win Theingi Tun continued to be the brightest spot on the Myanmar side when she repeatedly organized counter-attacks, but she was too alone against the opponent's solid defense.

The turning point came in the 66th minute. From a beautiful triangle combination, Jancevski passed to the left wing to Aideen Keane, before she crossed inside for Holly Furphy to run in and finish close to the goal, opening the score 1-0 for Australia.

In the final minutes, Myanmar pushed up their formation to find an equalizer, trying to put pressure on the opponent in the hope of creating a breakthrough. However, facing a disciplined defense and superior physique of their opponent, they could not create a truly dangerous opportunity. The match ended with a minimal victory for the Australian women's team.

With this result, the Australian women's team officially became the champion of the 2025 ASEAN Women's Cup, affirming their superior strength in terms of expertise, especially physique compared to their opponents in the Southeast Asian region. Meanwhile, the Myanmar women's team can hold their heads high and leave the tournament with the Silver Medal and excellent performances since the beginning of the tournament.
