Exhibition "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa in the heart of Quang Ngai"

On the morning of August 19, at Quang Ngai City Central Park, the Naval Region 3 Command in coordination with the Quang Ngai Province Literature and Arts Association organized a photo exhibition with the theme "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa in the heart of Quang Ngai".

The exhibition displays 110 works, including 60 works by 3 members Nguyen Dang Lam, Dinh Van Hong and Le Hoang Yen. All works were created by the authors about the real life and activities of officers, soldiers and people in Truong Sa archipelago and images of working delegations visiting and giving gifts to officers, soldiers and people on the islands and DK platforms.

The Naval Region 3 Command participated in the exhibition with 20 works and 30 documentary photos about Hoang Sa, a set of photos provided by the Central Propaganda Department to promote Vietnam's Hoang Sa.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Political Commissar of the Naval Region 3 Command, said: “Vietnam is a coastal country, bordering many countries and territories, with internal waters, territorial waters, contiguous waters, exclusive economic zones and continental shelves with over 3,000 islands and reefs, including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. For a long time, the sea has always been closely linked to the mainland and the survival of the Vietnamese people, greatly affecting the economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security.”

Naval Region 3 is the main mobile combat force of the Navy, tasked with firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of 7 provinces and cities in the central coastal region from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh, including the coastal outpost islands and the Hoang Sa archipelago. Along with that, the forces in the Navy play a core role in building the all-people national defense and the people's war posture at sea, maintaining a peaceful environment, ensuring economic and social development.

Participating in the exhibition, Naval Region 3 provided many valuable images and documents reflecting training activities, combat readiness, fighting to protect sovereignty over seas and islands, preventing storms and floods, searching and rescuing, implementing the program "Vietnam Navy" as a support for fishermen to go offshore...

This is the first photo exhibition on Hoang Sa - Truong Sa in Quang Ngai province, aiming to raise the understanding and awareness of all classes of people, especially the young generation, about Vietnam's sea and islands. Especially the position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
