Donating crime prevention equipment worth 800 million VND to Salavan Provincial Police

Today, October 8, at La Lay International Border Gate, the delegation of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command led by Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Colonel Nguyen Ba Duyet presented many equipment serving command work and supporting tools in the fight against crime with a total value of 800 million VND to the Salavan Provincial Police Department (Laos).

This activity aims to continue promoting the good tradition between Vietnam and Laos in general and the affection between the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command and the Salavan Provincial Police Department in particular. At the same time, it helps the Salavan Provincial Police force have better conditions in ensuring equipment to carry out the task of fighting, preventing and suppressing all types of crimes.

Receiving the donated supplies and equipment, Colonel Viengsavanh Sihachak, Deputy Director of the Salavan Provincial Police Department, emphasized: “In the past time, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command has continuously supported the Salavan Provincial Police Department both spiritually and materially, demonstrating the close and consistent affection between the two sides. This equipment will be used most effectively by the unit, effectively serving the command, direction and fight against all types of crimes.”

At the handover ceremony, the two sides exchanged information on the situation of coordination in maintaining security and order in the La Lay International Border Gate area and the border areas of each country, promoted education , propaganda and mobilization of people on both sides of the border to fully understand and respect the laws of the two countries; and strengthened coordination in effectively combating and preventing all types of crimes.
