Supermarkets and distributors have exchanged 17 memorandums of understanding on cooperation in consuming typical products of Ha Tinh mountainous region with businesses, cooperatives and production facilities.

On the afternoon of October 23, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to promote trade and consumption of products from ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Ha Tinh in 2023.

Attending were representatives of a number of businesses and distributors inside and outside the province; establishments, cooperatives and businesses in the province.

In his opening speech, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Hoang Van Quang emphasized: Ha Tinh with more than 366,000 hectares of forest and forest land, over 97,000 hectares of agricultural land with characteristics of soil and land and the process of developing agricultural production and rural industry of the people, has formed many specialty products with high economic value.

Up to now, Ha Tinh has nearly 300 products meeting OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher; 196 typical rural industrial products at national, regional and provincial levels. In recent times, production facilities, cooperatives and enterprises have focused on production processes to ensure food safety associated with traceability, improving packaging and designs and paying attention to trade promotion activities.

The Department of Industry and Trade has actively coordinated with departments, branches and localities to promote trade promotion activities, connecting to bring products to large distribution systems such as BigC, Co.opmart, Winmart...

At the conference, businesses and distributors highly appreciated the quality and design of Ha Tinh mountainous products and affirmed that they will coordinate and accompany the province in the process of connecting product consumption.

Distributors also hope that production units continue to improve production capacity, focus on quality, invest in appearance, increase recognition of clean products, and brands of Ha Tinh agricultural products.

Representatives of production facilities, cooperatives and enterprises in Ha Tinh also introduced the products, production processes and development potential of the facilities. At the same time, they hoped that all levels, sectors and distribution enterprises would continue to accompany and support the facilities in trade promotion and product consumption, especially bringing products to major distribution channels.
