The project has 2 packages including: construction of a 563 m long embankment, 3.5 m wide road surface and tidal sluice.
In particular, the reinforced concrete tidal sluice combined with a 15 m wide gate valve, operated by hydraulic cylinders controlled on site, combined with remote control through a monitoring and data collection system.
The total investment of the Project is nearly 237 billion VND, from the City budget.
The tide-prevention sluice gate item can be controlled remotely through the monitoring system. |
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that when completed, the project will prevent high tides from the Can Giuoc River from entering Ward 7, District 8 and Phong Phu Commune, Binh Chanh District, helping to reduce flooding for people in these two areas.
