On the afternoon of April 10, Ho Chi Minh City held a socio-economic press conference. Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs - Military Region 7, informed about preparations for the April 30th ceremony, commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); especially the rehearsal for the parade and march.

According to Colonel Truc, the armed forces' training sessions will take place on April 11 and April 15 at Air Force Regiment 935 (Bien Hoa City), and the combined training on Le Duan Street (Ho Chi Minh City) will be held on April 18 and April 22. The General Staff, Ministry of National Defense will preside over the preliminary review, general rehearsal and training.

The parade and march will be attended by 32 forces, of which Military Region 7 is responsible for training and participating in 7 forces (3 female forces, 4 male forces). The female forces represent commandos, female guerrillas and female militiamen; while the male forces include coast guard officers, male militiamen, liberation soldiers and military musicians.

Colonel Truc also said that the forces are actively practicing at the Military School of Military Region 7, Brigade 25 (Bien Hoa) and Division 309 (near Vung Tau intersection). Logistics, accommodation and military equipment are all well ensured to prepare for the preliminary and final rehearsals.

Answering the question of whether people can watch the parade rehearsals or not, Colonel Truc informed: "As far as I know, apart from the fixed locations (in the center of Ho Chi Minh City) for preliminary and final rehearsals, other routes are open for traffic. People can go near certain areas to watch. The specific plan will be implemented by the Ministry of National Defense."

Along with the parade rehearsal, Ho Chi Minh City will also organize a national scientific conference with the theme "The Great Spring Victory of 1975 with the New Era of Development of the Vietnamese People" on April 17 at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials' Hall.

The art program "Land of Joy" will also be held in the lobby in front of Thong Nhat Hall (District 1) at 8:00 p.m. on April 20, with the participation of 425 singers and dancers and 600 extras from art troupes throughout the army.

The parade will be broadcast live on LED screens on main roads for people to easily follow. Ho Chi Minh City also plans to install 22 large LED screens in districts and Thu Duc City. In addition, people can watch the parade through online platforms.
