According to a survey at universities in Ho Chi Minh City, many majors in the Social Sciences block with the admission combination C00 (Literature, History, Geography) dominate the rankings of majors with the highest admission scores in 2024 (based on high school graduation exam scores).
Meanwhile, the A00 and A01 blocks (Math - Physics - Chemistry and Math - Physics - English) only have 2 technology majors: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. This is a notable difference compared to many years ago, when the medical or technology majors were often in the lead.
Notably, the majors of Literature, History, and Geography Pedagogy achieved a benchmark score approaching 29 - a rare number, showing the great attraction of the teaching profession again.
The Journalism industry rose to the top of the list, reflecting the strong demand and competitiveness of the media and journalism sector.
However, technology industries such as Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence still maintain stable appeal, affirming the position of the STEM group in the context of shifting industry trends.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training , after candidates complete their registration and pay the admission fee, the timeline of the virtual filtering process is as follows:
From 7:00 a.m. on August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 15: Check database on the System.
From 7:00 to 16:30 on August 16: Download the database on the System and organize the selection.
From 5:00 p.m. on August 20, schools will enter admission scores and admission results into the system; review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.
