
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union Pham Thi Thanh Huong said that the Hanoi Women's Union has proactively and actively implemented Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation associated with the implementation of the "Digital Literacy for All" movement and the Hanoi Party Committee's Project on digital transformation in Party agencies and city organizations.
According to Ms. Huong, the seminar was organized to further promote the role of women in state management of science , technology, innovation and digital transformation in the context of comprehensive innovation and breakthrough in science and technology development of Hanoi city.

At the seminar, Head of the Hanoi Women's Affairs Committee Nguyen Kim Quy said that the City Women's Union has focused on improving the capacity of cadres, members and women to meet the requirements of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, through organizing digital skills training courses for members and women; integrating digital skills guidance into activities...
Notably, the City Women's Union has launched the "Digital Literacy" movement at all levels of the Union and organized many practical activities such as: Capital Women's Day applying technology and innovation in 2025; discussion "Application of technology, innovation - Opportunities and challenges for women in the new era"...
Next, representatives of units, experts, and female intellectuals discussed the current status of Hanoi women's participation in state management of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; proposed a number of solutions and policies to support and encourage women to lead and manage the state, apply science, technology, and innovation in their activities...
Considering that infrastructure in many places is still not sufficient to transform public services, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Center for Science and Technology Information Statistics (Hanoi Department of Science and Technology) proposed that it is necessary to complete digital infrastructure, prioritize mountainous communes, deploy mobile broadcasting stations in hard-to-reach areas, support rates for poor households... Women's Unions at all levels also need to continue organizing the "Computers for Children" program to support students in difficult circumstances...

Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy hopes to promote gender equality, not only among women, because when implementing measures to promote gender equality, the intellectual level of the people will increase and society will develop more...
Delegates also pointed out the gap in opportunities and benefits between men and women in the process of applying and developing science, technology, and digital transformation. This is reflected in the fact that women often have less access to technology and are less involved in technology-related professions and digital product creation.
Based on the opinions of the delegates, the Organizing Committee synthesizes them as a basis for proposing policies in the coming time.
