Promoting science and technology cooperation between Vietnam and Korea to a new height

This State visit to the Republic of Korea is the first visit of General Secretary To Lam as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and also the first State visit of a country's leader to the Republic of Korea after the country had a new government. The visit is of great significance, creating new momentum and opening up many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the new era of development of both nations.

After more than 30 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, the relationship between Vietnam and Korea has become a very special, effective and substantive model of relationship. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science, Information and Communications Technology of Korea on scientific and technological cooperation this time not only deepens the strategic cooperative relationship but also directly contributes to improving the capacity for innovation, developing national science and technology, bringing practical benefits to the people and businesses of the two countries.
