The delegation included representatives from the Propaganda Department, the Ethnic Policy Department (UBDT); leaders of the Ethnic Committee of Thanh Hoa province; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Quan Hoa and Thuong Xuan districts.

In Quan Hoa district, the delegation visited and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station, and presented 7 gifts to prestigious people and 160 Tet gifts to poor ethnic minority households in Hien Kiet commune.

In Thuong Xuan district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 10 prestigious people and 360 poor ethnic minority households in the extremely disadvantaged commune of Luan Khe and wished a happy new year to the Party Committee and government of Luan Khe commune.

Each gift to visit prestigious people and poor ethnic minorities in Quan Hoa and Thuong Xuan districts is worth 1 million VND in cash, the total value of the program is nearly 500 million VND.

At the places visited, after listening to the representatives of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station, the local Party Committee and authorities of Hien Kiet Commune (Quan Hoa), and Luan Khe Commune (Thuong Xuan) reporting on the situation and results of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, ethnic affairs, and social security in the area, on behalf of the working delegation, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Y Vinh Tor acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the local Party Committee and authorities, armed forces and ethnic minorities in socio-economic development; acknowledged the contributions and roles of the prestigious people among local ethnic minorities.

With the attention and leadership of local Party committees and authorities, the efforts of the people and prestigious people, the ethnic policies of the Party and State have been effectively implemented, and people's lives have been increasingly improved.

In the exciting atmosphere of the first days of the New Year, preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Y Vinh Tor hopes that local Party committees and authorities at the provincial and district levels will continue to pay comprehensive attention to the localities, creating conditions for ethnic minorities and ethnic minority regions to develop and integrate with other localities in the province, contributing to narrowing the living standards between mountainous and plain areas.
