DTO - In the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) has deployed and guided schools to strengthen the organization of activities to celebrate major holidays of the country and the province, in conjunction with educating students about revolutionary traditions and ethics. Following the instructions of the DOET, 100% of schools in the province simultaneously organized many activities to attract students to participate.

Focus on education

From April 25 to May 4, 2025, the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities, and the Board of Directors of schools will focus on organizing peak activities according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training. Accordingly, in front of the school gate, in the school yard, the Party flag, the national flag, and banners with slogans to celebrate the events will be brightly decorated.

Teachers and students actively responded to the campaign to clean up school grounds and classrooms, and joined local Youth Union organizations to visit and give gifts to people with meritorious services, revolutionary families, etc. In particular, on Monday (April 28), all school units in the province simultaneously held flag-salute activities. The school's Board of Directors coordinated with various sectors to propagate and educate patriotic traditions, revolutionary ideals, and national pride for teachers, students, and trainees in many appropriate forms, ensuring practicality, efficiency, savings, and safety. In addition, schools organized activities: learning about traditional history, culture, arts, physical education, sports, experiential education, returning to the source, etc. according to regulations. Organize and integrate propaganda content into class activities, Youth Union - Association - Team activities, internal radio news and on digital platforms (Website, Fanpage of the school).

In April 2025, the atmosphere at Trung Vuong Primary School (Sa Dec City) was bustling with many cultural events for students of all grades. The highlight was the Book Day and Reading Culture event with the participation of more than 300 teachers and students of the school. Teachers and students, with their ingenuity and sophistication, displayed and designed book stalls with images of the map of Vietnam and recreated the image of armored tanks entering the Independence Palace symbolizing the historic victory on April 30, 1975. In a series of activities to celebrate major holidays, Trung Vuong Primary School also organized a contest "Telling stories about Ho Chi Minh's moral example in the 2024-2025 school year" with the participation of 10 teams of students in grades 4 and 5 and the whole school cheering with more than 430 students. The students told simple, profound stories about patriotism, responsibility, the noble deeds and virtues of Uncle Ho and promised to study and practice to be worthy of his great contributions.

At kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools throughout the province, not only banners were hung but many activities were also organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Some school units launched traditional rooms arranged in the school yard, with many vivid images of the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, the generals who made great contributions to the great war of the nation and of Dong Thap homeland. In addition, schools also organized performances and cultural exchanges with performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, and country, creating a vibrant atmosphere during the Great Holidays of the country.

Diverse, interesting experiential activities

Since the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, educational institutions in the province have organized many experiential activities for students to visit historical revolutionary sites in the province. At the Go Thap National Special Monument (Thap Muoi District), more than 100 students, teachers, children and parents of Tram Chim Kindergarten (Tam Nong District), Thanh My Kindergarten (Thap Muoi District) came to visit, experience, and learn about the resounding feats of General Vo Duy Duong and Commander Nguyen Tan Kieu, the Southern Regional Party Committee Exhibition Hall... In addition, the children also participated in folk games, learned how to plant and harvest lotus plants, which are typical of the traditional culture of the homeland of the Pink Lotus Land. Along with that, children studying at An Hiep Kindergarten (Chau Thanh district) participated in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At Xeo Quit Relic Site (Cao Lanh District) these days are always bustling with many activities organized by schools for students. The Department of Education and Training of Lai Vung District organized the 6th April Olympic Competition and the Junior High School Festival, the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Teachers and students watched documentaries and experienced at Xeo Quit Relic Site. In the vibrant and exciting atmosphere, students confidently answered the questions of the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest excellently. Mr. Ngo Phuoc Hau - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Lai Vung district, said: "Currently, the Department of Education and Training has a local education subject. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Department of Education and Training organizes activities to create a playground for children to play, experience, and review the heroic traditions of our ancestors. The questions of the program are compiled in association with the revolutionary tradition, helping children better understand their responsibilities to strive to study and achieve higher achievements. In Cao Lanh City, Nguyen Thi Luu Secondary School organized sports activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025) with many folk games for managers and teachers. The Board of Directors of Nguyen Thi Luu Secondary School and Cao Lanh City High School, along with teachers and students, attended the exchange and met with historical witness Nguyen Dac Hien - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, author of the work "Dong Thap - 50 years, a perspective". In the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training continues to implement the Program "Educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, adolescents, and children in the period 2021-2030", focusing on educating life skills for students, integrating them into the teaching process and extracurricular educational activities... Thereby, contributing to educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles so that students have more motivation to study and practice, becoming useful people for society.
