Showing his talent and love for English from a young age, Quoc Thai is especially passionate about English animated films and is "crazy" about foreign bands.

Nguyen Duy Quoc Thai shared: “When I saw my name on the list of valedictorians, I was very happy. Right from the end of the exam, I was quite confident because I did relatively well on the test. I thank my teachers and family for always accompanying and encouraging me to study and practice hard.”

Commenting on the D07 exam, Quoc Thai said: “In my opinion, the Math and Chemistry exams are highly classified, have a variety of question types, and at the same time, enhance practical application, requiring candidates to have good reading comprehension skills. The English subject is difficult, close to international exams such as IELTS. The exam focuses on assessing reading comprehension, language thinking, and the ability to apply English in real-life situations, instead of just testing grammar and vocabulary knowledge. If you do not rely on the context of the reading, you cannot do well on the exam.”

Not only did he score high in the high school graduation exam, the “village boy” also had proud achievements and knowledge in many different fields. In grade 10, Quoc Thai won third prize in the provincial English competition. By grade 11, he had an IELTS score of 8.0 and second prize in the provincial English competition.

To achieve such admirable academic results, the new valedictorian said that he mainly studied in class, only did the exam questions given by his teachers, and did not do extra questions or documents online. During his studies, he focused on mastering the basic knowledge and completing all the exercises, not studying intensively in the "sprint" period.

Sharing about his future plans, Quoc Thai said he applied to study Logistics and International Business under the high-quality training program at Foreign Trade University.

Born into a family with both parents being teachers, Quoc Thai always received support from his family and felt absolutely no pressure when choosing a learning method.

“My parents always accompany, support, and encourage me to live with my passion. Not only do I love studying Math, Chemistry, and English, I also have interests in fashion , listening to music, reading books, going to the gym, watching movies... I love music and am a fan of G-Dragon (a Korean rapper, singer, musician, and businessman),” Quoc Thai shared.

Proud of his son's achievements, Mr. Nguyen Duy Trinh, Quoc Thai's father, expressed his joy: "Quoc Thai does not attend extra classes much, he mainly studies at school under the guidance of teachers. When at home, he is also self-aware and proactive in arranging his study schedule. My family also does not impose on him about his study methods or personal interests. He is free to decide for himself and is responsible for his choices."

According to Mr. Trinh, his friends advised him to watch cartoons to learn English, so from a young age, his family often showed Quoc Thai age-appropriate movies. When he grew up, seeing his passion for foreign languages, his family encouraged and accompanied him to conquer English. "His results in the recent graduation exam were thanks to his serious self-study process and the enthusiastic support from teachers at school," Mr. Trinh shared.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Principal of Le Hoan High School, commented that Quoc Thai is a very individualistic student and he knows how to set clear goals in his studies. He is a good student in all subjects, especially English.

“In the journey of nearly 60 years of construction and development, Le Hoan High School has had many students who are valedictorians. Quoc Thai is one of the students who makes us very proud. His achievements are a great encouragement for all teachers and students of the school. I believe that with his studious spirit, broad knowledge in many fields, confidence and life skills, Quoc Thai will go far on the path he has chosen,” said Mr. Dung.
