National Highway 15C section through Nhi Son commune opens

The landslide location at Km 77+700 on National Highway 15C in Nhi Son commune has basically been cleared.

Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on July 22, storms caused soil and rocks on the hill to roll down, causing a traffic jam at Km77+700 of National Highway 15C in Nhi Son commune, making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

Immediately afterwards, the road management unit quickly mobilized human resources and machinery to focus on leveling, clearing, and clearing the dirt and rocks. By this morning, July 23, the road was basically open to traffic.

In the whole province, the impact of storm No. 3 caused landslides, sedimentation of ditches and culverts at 39 locations with a volume of about ^25,280m3 , of which, National Highway 15 had 18 locations, National Highway 15C had 6 locations, National Highway 16 had 4 locations, National Highway 47 had 4 locations, National Highway 217 had 3 locations.

At the same time, the negative slope collapsed at 1 location with a length of about 16m at Km16+110/QL.15C in Nam Xuan commune, not causing traffic jam. The road surface sank and cracked at Km21+390/QL.15 with a length of 5m. The retaining wall at Km26+300/QL.15 with a length of 5m. Damaged signs and yellow flashing lights at 3 locations (Km8+571, Km48+870, Km61+100/QL.47B).

At flooded areas, authorities are keeping watch, not allowing people and vehicles to pass.

As for provincial roads, as of 9:00 a.m. on July 23, storms and rains had flooded the overflow roads at 9 locations, causing traffic jams; negative slope landslides at 2 locations with a length of about 32m, on provincial road 521 at Km2+350 in Bao La commune - Phu Tho province and Km5+810 in Phu Le commune - Thanh Hoa province. Positive slope landslides and rolling rocks at 12 locations with a volume of about ^1,300m3 on provincial roads 519B and 521C.

When the flood occurred, the Thanh Hoa Department of Construction directed the Maintenance Management Board and road management units to urgently deploy inspections, reviews, updates, and reports on damage on the roads. Thereby, promptly directing units to immediately implement handling measures to ensure traffic such as: cutting trees, clearing sediment, placing warning signs, barricades at landslides, sinking, and deeply flooded roads... At the same time, coordinating with local authorities to organize propaganda, arrange guards, and guide traffic... to ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling on the route.

Thanks to that, in addition to the overflow and landslide locations that were locally blocked, landslide and damaged locations on national highways and provincial roads by the afternoon of July 23 were handled to ensure smooth and safe traffic.
