While everyone is enjoying the April 30 - May 1 holiday with family and friends, at major construction sites stretching from Dong Nai to Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the construction atmosphere is still bustling from early morning to late at night. Key traffic routes such as Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, Phuoc An Bridge, Thuy Van - Bai Sau coastal road, Road 994... are all racing against time, determined to finish many important projects before the rainy season.

Vice Chairman of Dong Nai province Duong Minh Dung presented gifts and thanked the construction force during the holiday.

At component project 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway through Dong Nai province, dozens of construction sites were maintained continuously throughout the holiday.

According to Mr. Nguyen Linh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, contractors have mobilized 100% of human resources and equipment to construct roadbed and drainage system items, ensuring completion of the foundation before June during the holiday.

After completing the foundation, deploy the next items such as stone grading, drainage system...

"Engineers and workers still maintain three shifts to speed up production," said Mr. Linh.

At component project 1, in the late afternoon of April 30, a working delegation from Dong Nai province led by Mr. Duong Minh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also visited, presented gifts, and encouraged the construction force during the holiday to encourage and motivate their spirit.

Similarly, at the Component 2 project, Vinaconex engineers and workers are working tirelessly on the foundation, transporting and leveling an average of more than ten thousand cubic meters of soil each day. Other units such as CC1, Central Construction Group Joint Stock Company, and Truong Son are also rushing to construct bridges, underpasses, and drainage culverts, all racing against the weather.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, although the project component 3 has reached more than 95% of its output and has been technically opened to traffic, the construction site is still lit up throughout the holiday. "Everyone wants the project to be completed soon so that people can travel conveniently and safely. Rest can be postponed, but progress cannot be delayed," an engineer shared. At the construction site of some intersections, drainage systems, cement concrete, fence installation, railing pile driving, lighting... everywhere you can see the silhouettes of workers working hard in the sun.

Workers stick to the construction site, working through the holidays without rest.

"I'm from Nghe An. This holiday I'm staying with my brothers to work quickly to finish the project soon. After this project, my brothers will return to Dong Nai to work on another highway. The income is stable, and we have a few family reunion meals during the holiday so we feel warm," worker Nguyen Van Truong shared.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh, Deputy Director of the Regional Traffic Project Management Board and the Agricultural Sector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that the progress is still very urgent, so all the workers are staying at the construction site 100% during the holiday. However, because it is a big holiday, the Board coordinates with contractors to organize collective meals, creating a warm atmosphere like at home so that the workers can have a reunion atmosphere.

No less bustling, in Nhon Trach (Dong Nai), the Ring Road 3 construction site in Ho Chi Minh City these days is like a large factory.

From 6am, hundreds of machines and equipment were divided into more than 20 construction teams. The sound of pile drivers and drilling machines echoed throughout the site until late at night. "It's even busier than usual on a holiday. We're taking advantage of every hour of sunshine to treat weak foundations before the rainy season," worker Mai Van Van shared.

Not far away, on the Thi Vai River, the Phuoc An Bridge project connecting the seaport and industrial zones between Dong Nai and Ba Ria Vung Tau provinces is also in full swing. The bridge piers have risen high in the middle of the river, and workers are clinging to barges, watching the tide for construction.

The urgent atmosphere spread to Route 994, one of the important coastal dynamic axes of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, which is currently being expanded and upgraded. Many completed packages have been opened to traffic, the remaining ones are also racing to speed up progress.

About 10km away, on the Thuy Van - Bai Sau coastal road (Vung Tau City), where tourists flock to, workers are quietly fixing the sidewalks, installing lighting, and completing the landscape in time for the peak summer season.

Throughout the construction sites, drops of sweat roll down amidst the roaring sound of machinery. These are the efforts of many human resources demonstrating the determination of each engineer, worker, and contractor. They are contributing to speeding up the pace of infrastructure development, bringing a new look to the industrial and tourist land in the South.
