Not only steadfast on the front of maintaining security and order, the youth and women of the Provincial Police are also the pioneers in social activities for the community. The campaigns "Green Summer", "Volunteer Spring", humanitarian blood donation programs, supporting the frontline against the epidemic, giving gifts to the poor, supporting the meritorious... are all practical and meaningful actions that the union members quietly spread.

Remember the period when the Covid-19 pandemic was raging, when many people were still shocked and worried, the provincial police force of youth rushed to the front line. Thousands of members volunteered to donate blood, support the transportation of food, medicine, masks, protective gear, anti-droplet glasses... They also did not hesitate to be on duty day and night, participating in ensuring security and order, contributing to maintaining stability and safety for people in the most difficult times.

In the Winter - Spring volunteer programs or "Green Summer", thousands of gifts were given to families with preferential policies and poor students who have overcome difficulties; gratitude houses were built, painted and repaired by officers and soldiers; dozens of "Lighting up the Countryside" projects were built with the working days and donations of youth union members. Along with that, there were activities to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, show gratitude to families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services; provide free health check-ups for the poor; cook charity porridge in hospitals... All of these are regular and humane activities of the provincial police youth.

In remote border areas, the green volunteer uniforms of the Provincial Police have also left a significant mark. The trips “March Border”, “Lighting up the Border”, “My Fatherland Border”… brought hundreds of gifts, scholarships, computers, maps of the Fatherland, electric wires, light bulbs… to the people in the highlands and border areas. It is not only material, it is also emotional, it is the flesh and blood connection between the police force and the people.

Godmother, foster brother - loving support

Among the meaningful volunteer activities, the models of “Godmother” and “Foster brother who is a police officer” are special highlights, fully demonstrating the spirit of “helping each other”, love and responsibility for the future generation - students with especially difficult circumstances. Deployed since 2022 under the initiative of the Ministry of Public Security , the program has become a bridge of love, where police officers quietly nurture hope for less fortunate children.

There are situations that make listeners choke up. Like Nguyen Thi Thuy An (born in 2010) in Hiep Hoa commune - the daughter of a most seriously disabled veteran (grade 1/4), whose mother lost her ability to work due to an accident. Despite her extremely difficult circumstances, Thuy An always strives to excel in her studies. Since May 2024, she has been sponsored by the Provincial Police Women's Association. With both material and spiritual care, she has had the opportunity to excel in her studies and achieved the title of excellent student for many consecutive years, won the third prize in History at the provincial level and was admitted to the History specialized class at Bac Giang Specialized High School. That achievement is not only a source of pride for her family but also a living testament to the value of loving companionship. Or like Hoang Khanh Linh, a student at Dong Lac Primary School, Yen The commune, whose mother has Agent Orange sequelae, the whole family's income depends on a small allowance, so family life is very difficult. Thanks to the model "The foster brother is a police officer", every month Khanh Linh is supported with tuition and supplies, giving her more strength to confidently go to school.

Up to now, the program has sponsored 59 students in difficult circumstances with a total budget of more than 500 million VND. Each month, the students receive support from 300,000 - 500,000 VND along with encouragement and spiritual support. Although the amount is not large, it is a warm support, helping the students overcome difficulties and nurture their dream of going to school. To maintain the programs "Godmother", "Foster brother is a police officer", the officers and soldiers of the provincial police have proactively mobilized socialization, calling for the cooperation of philanthropists and businesses. Many union members have volunteered to donate a part of their income to support the students. It is this volunteerism that has created a strong influence of the program, not only stopping at material support, but also the process of sowing the seeds of love, building a compassionate and responsible lifestyle throughout the force.

Colonel Tran The Cuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, shared: “We always consider this a particularly important political task, contributing to nurturing future generations and strengthening people's trust in the police force. In the coming time, the Provincial Police will continue to direct the expansion of the model, coordinate with schools, organizations, businesses, and individuals to widely convey the humanistic spirit of the program.”

The volunteer journey, spreading love of the young people and women of the Provincial Police have been and are the flames of humanity shining in everyday life. Each volunteer activity, each gift given, each drop of blood donated, each child whose dream has been given wings... are all proof of the benevolent heart and high sense of responsibility of the police force in the new era. Those actions and gestures have been and are beautifying the beautiful image of the People's Police soldier "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".
