Strengthening resources, effectively implementing national target programs

Through inspections and field surveys in localities, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of local authorities and the coordination of departments and branches in synchronously and effectively implementing national target programs, programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, as well as supporting the development of livelihood models and projects in the locality.

Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that the implementation of the National Target Programs should aim at sustainable poverty reduction in association with socio -economic development, focusing on improving income and quality of life of people, especially ethnic minority areas. Localities need to increase the mobilization of social resources, promote internal strength of the community, ensure publicity and transparency in investment; prioritize projects with direct and long-term impacts. At the same time, it is necessary to speed up the progress, ensure the quality of works, link the development of eco-tourism and community tourism with the preservation of traditional culture and environmental protection.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed that the effective implementation of national target programs, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, is a task of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to ensuring social security, improving the quality of life for people in disadvantaged areas, and at the same time promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

“Departments, branches and sectors continue to closely coordinate, strengthen guidance and support localities in implementing programs when switching to a two-level government model. It is necessary to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process; focus on accelerating the disbursement of capital sources from the national target program, ensuring the right goals, right subjects and promoting investment efficiency. In addition, it is necessary to review and evaluate the capacity of localities, thereby having appropriate solutions to improve management capacity, meeting the increasing requirements in implementing national target programs in the area”, Mr. Binh emphasized.
